During the check-out we were serviced by a lady who didn't see anything wrong in forcing us to wait for her about 10 minutes (she was talking via phone). It was the first time I was treated so unprofessionally.

We stayed here for 1 night during the Easter holidays with 2 children of 8 and 6 years. Cartagena doesn't have many hotels around the centre, especially those offering family rooms, and this one is only a short walk to the top of the pedestrian heart to the city. The price of €55 was very good for a large family... More

A quite unusual hotel on a a back street, the Carlos III is good value and a reasonable place to base yourself for a few days. The hotel uses an associated small restaurant/cafe for its midday/evening meals but caters to breakfast directly. The breakfast layout was quite good, various breads, cheeses, meats; a limited selection of hot items; plus fruits,... More

Reasonable close to walk to most of the many historical sites of Cartegena. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful You have to pay for parking, but it is not expensive and is located beneath the hotel.

I spent only one night in this hotel, for bussiness purposes. This was my second time in this hotel, the first time was in 2010 (I think), for one night as well. About the hotel: Good central location. Good value for money. Rooms were clean and tidy, providing space enough. Breakfast was more than decent, alhough a little expensive for... More

Location Although a 25 minute walk to the port (where you can get a taxi to the local beach for 5 euros or cycle or even walk if you are brave), it is less than ten minutes to the main shopping street. Which takes you down to the port. It is also 3 minutes walk from a couple of tapas... More

A surprisingly spacious hotel. Lovely bright decor. Easy enough to find. Good central location. Excellent value for money. The only thing to take into account is the fact that you have pay for parking. It was €13 per night to park in the car park below the hotel. This was however much cheaper than th public 24 hr car park... More

Cartagena felt like its in the middle of being reinvented. There is a lot of decay in the city...facades being preserved with the backs of buildings crumbling and in ruins. The exciting part is that they seem to be doing a lot to preserve the beautiful old stuff. We visited the awesome park that they built on top of the... More

This hotel is well located in one of he main avenues in Cartagena. The room facilities looked a bit tired although everything was clean and functioned properly. The lift only worked from the first floor, which meant lugging cases up from the ground level. Parking a car in the hotel car park was very awkward, given the need to negotiate... More
