The hostal wasn't hard to find and not far from the metro. The rooms were very clean and the man at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. central location, comfortable enough/defenitely clean room, friendly/helpfull staff. no breakfast possibilities, but as it is just off the gran via, there's plenty around. good value for money. would go back. I stayed here for a night in late August, and plan to visit again whenever I'm passing through Madrid. It is very conveniently located to several Metro stops, cafes, and services, while also on a peaceful and safe street. Chema was super-friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. The room was very comfortable, clean, and cool.
