Went on our honeymoon to Spain and took a trip to Madrid. We stayed in another hotel too to get a perspective of the whole area and Hostal Pizarro was a much better location and price. Great value and clean room with a closet for hanging up my nice dresses and a safe for our passports and my jewelry. Would... More

We stayed here for two nights exploring Madrid, and I can't think of a single complaint. The staff were so helpful, allowing us to check in early as soon as we arrived (which was greatly appreciated by our jet lagged selves!). The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean. The bathrooms even have toiletries, an amenity I was not anticipating.... More

After I wrote the title, I was worried that some people would interpret a five-star price as expensive. Actually, it was really very affordable. The pictures on the website don't do justice at all. In reality, it's much nicer. It's clean. The staff are all accommodating. They have WiFi throughout the hostel and two new iMacs in the lobby. We... More

We spent six nights at Hostal Pizarro and were very happy with the accommodation and the welcoming staff. José, our host, was very inviting and had great suggestions for places to eat and shop. The hostal is located in a fairly quiet area near the center of the city, easy walking distance to most attractions, Metro stops and areas like... More

We spent 2 nights at Hostal Pizarro in December 2013 and it was a very wonderful experience. It felt very welcoming and homey. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a very kind lady who showed us around. There are computers in the lobby which you can use if you need to check into anything. You will also find a good... More

I found Hostal Pizarro by accident, when in a hurry to find a place to stay in the neighbourhood. I was immediately surprised by the friendliness and professional standards of the owners, very uncommon in this kind of establishment. It's clean, it's cosy, and it's comfortable, at least for a few nights' stay.

The place is well located, near gran via, a couple metro stations, and with several bars and interesting places around. The room was big and nicely decorated, and the staff was very helpful all the time. Definitely recommended.

Stayed just one night but was impressed by the standard of decor and furnishings given the price range. a warm welcome despite the language barrier and a clean and quiet place to relax while still be central enough to access the night life and attractions on foot.

It's located few blocks from the metro station "noviciado". Very close to Sol and station Atocha/Renfe in walking distance. We enjoyed our 3 nights stayed and will come back if we ever come to visit Madrid again. Javier and Jose are great hosts. We felt very welcoming. However, the address is a little difficult to find as it's located at... More

Near to Noviciado metro station, easy to find, charming atmosphere. Staff is friendly, rooms are in good condition and clean (even they changed the towels twice!) We stayed there 2 nights without any problem, price-performance ratio is high ;) For the ones who is searching somewhere to sleep and no luxury.
