I've been in this b&b for a few days and this is the duration I suggest if you want to sleep here. The bedroom was very clean,if you want they change your towel everyday. Also the breakfast is very good and fresh and the personnel very kind. Anyway,in room 509,there were some problems. First of all the bath is large... More

I was skeptical about this kind of hotels/hostal. I stayed with my sister for only one night, we had a 15 hour to connection wait to our next flight, therefore, we had a low budget. The place is nice, clean, and it is located at a nice area and it is easy to reach. It might be more oriented to... More

The staff here are wonderful and the rooms on the back side might be fine, but the street side is unbearably noisy, especially after an overnight flight. Madrid is busy until 5 or 6 AM and this hotel is in a prime area for people staying out late. Might be fine on the back end of a trip or if... More

We chose this hostel because of its price and its excellent ratings to spend a stopover night in Madrid and it fully met our expectations. It was spotlessly clean, even the shared bathrooms, the staff were nice and the room size was more than enough (it was a twin-bed double). The A/C worked well. We did not have breakfast there,... I stayed here for two nights at a room with private bathroom. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are very reasonable if you consider about the location. The room was very clean, quite spacious and the beds comfortable. It also has a very cute small balcony with a very nice view. The closet is quite big so... More

Stayed here for five nights in a room with private bathroom. The room was spotlessly clean, fresh towels and lovely view from the patio doors. The staff were always cheerful. The location is perfect, just off the Gran Via and about 10 minutes stroll from the Grand Palace and Place de Oriente. We didn't make use of the room service... More

We stayed at Flat 5 for two nights and had a great experience. The breakfast was perfect and they even packed us a to go kit for tour last morning. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed in Flat5madrid for just one night. In the heart of madrid, with a good liaison with public transport (Metro Noviciado), few minutes from Gran Via, ideal point for discovering Madrid. We were welcomed by the receptionist (forot the name). The only inconvenient, the rooms might be small but no problem as far as you will use it for... More

First impressions of the outside were not great, however I was pleasantly surprised once we dragged our bags up the 5 flights of stairs (there's also a shifty elevator for the risk takers). Entering the reception door, I knew I picked the best hotel on this block. It looked very contemporary and clean. There were 2 host, one of which... More

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
