Fine for a quick overnight stay; nothing special but is priced accordingly. Great location and just a few minutes walk to the closest metro station. I checked in late at night circa 11pm- be careful as it is easy to miss when walking past, so keep an eye out!

Very nice hotel located in a central site.I spent my september holidays in this hotel, with my two children and my wyfe. The 4 beds room was quite clean an silently, despite of the central position of the hotel.

Everything is in good condition, the hostel is in a very good location. Just around the corner of the metro station Gran via. We booked a twin bed room. We got one single bed and one double bed (lucky me).

We stayed here for three nights after a 24 hour flight. We caught a taxi from the airport for 30 euros however it is just next to Gran Vie train station. It is small but has everything. Good Wifi and air conditioning. You have to ring the bell each time for the hotel staff to let you in. Very safe... More

Everything was really nice. We stayed there for two nights. It's really good placed hotel, two mins from Gran Via in a beautiful district Chueca. Stuff is friendly, speak English very well. Rooms are small, but clear and light. Free Wi-Fi with a high speed. We had no any problems. And the price is really great. Thank you very much,... More

It is just 100 mt. to Gran Via, the metro and the city centre. It is not well decorated, furniture is old, the room and the shower is small but clean. the beds are not very comfortable but OK. You need to ring the bell to get in after 22.00. No breakfast but there are cafes around. On the very... More

Really well placed, just a couple of minutes away from Gran Via. Easy access to Red Bus City Tour and Metro. A bit basic, but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was extremely small, but the shower worked adequately. The bad thing was that the air con did not work, fortunately for us, the nights were not too hot, and we... More

The best thing about this hostel is it's location. It's located a minute's walk from the Gran via and about ten minutes from Puerta del Sol. The hostel is basic. The wi-fi was broken for most of the time we were there. The bathroom smelled weird 1 day, but it got okay soon. The beds were comfortable and clean and... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
