Super nice staff and very well located, beds are not as comfortable, roof top terrace/bar is great, sadly not very well managed so service is not as good, but if you can overlook that...then prepare to have a good time.

This is a perfectly situated hotel right in the center of Madrid. 30 seconds walking frm the Gtan Via it gives perfect access to everything. Rooms are big and clean, and the hotel has a modern feel to it. On the roof is one of the hotspots of Madrid in the form of a rooftop bar with swimming pool. Definitely... More

One of the best things of the hotel is its fantastic situation. The hotel is quite small, cute, modern and with very nice and comfortable rooms (I saw 3 rooms) ;-) . The staff is very friendly and attentive. And last but not least, I had the chance to enjoy its fantastic terrace!

We LOVED this hotel. Perfect position in the city, so central, close to the the Gran Via street & metro, great bars, stores, restaurants, a few key sights etc. Such attentive friendly staff, nothing too much trouble (Gianluca & Miguel). Rooms are chic & tastefully done - try get one with a view though. Fab rooftop bar & pool on... More

It's great to be back again in Madrid. This lovey, romantic city it just pulsating with life. It's not the first time I come back to this jewel of a hotel OSCAR. The reception just received me like we were old friends! Really , even though this is very comfortable and good looking hotel, how the reception received me was... More

I really, really wanted to like this hotel, but at every opportunity they disappointed me. One area that didn't disappoint was service. The front desk staff was excellent and welcoming, and certainly had no problems conversing in Spanish or English. They even walked me all the way to my room to ensure my key worked. Nice touch. And that's what... More

I went here late yesterday afternoon to experience the rooftop terrace. The views of the city are wonderful and the place is decked out very well, but it all seemed rather pretentious. There's a VIP section with white sofas and a man with a headpiece (as if he were out of a Bond movie) making sure nothing gets out of... More

We were three couples staying for three nights which we quickly changed to four as we so liked the hotel & sightseeing in Madrid. Our rooms were spacious, clean, had everything one needed on holiday, very bright, modern with a funky design. There is a terrific bar on the top floor with great views over the city. It was obviously... More

We stayed there for a 2 night stop on our way back to Mexico city... It was simple and amazingly located in the barrio de chueca, which allowed us to be able to walk everywhere from there and really enjoy the little time we had in Madrid. Small room with the necessary amenities, nice cleaning service and overall very modern... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
