After reading many average reviews of this hotel I was hesitated to book it, but it turned out to be better than I had hoped. From the outside, Vincci hotel looked very modest compared with other buildings in Madrid. However, the decor inside was a lot of fun and creative. It's located in the theater district so the whole hotel... More

situated over the road from the metro, which takes you to the airport, or bring you into the city. Pleasant receptionists and very helpful, free map of the city, which we wore out! Decent size room, could do with more electric outlets. We presented bathroom, do we really need bidets these days? Comfy bed, it was a quiet room with... More

Stayed here last weekend, my 2nd visit in 2 years to this fantastic hotel. I love this hotel. It's very central, the staff are very friendly and helpful, particularly the male staff on the reception desk who also took time out to teach me Spanish and recommended some nice white wines. Rooms are very clean, fabulous bathroom with deep bath... More

I stayed at the Vinnci Via during a recent business trip to Madrid and it was an excellent experience. This hotel offers great value and I have to say that the staff made me feel exceptionally welcome and even provided some lovely wine and tapas in my room. I would recommend this gem to anyone - perfect location near Porte... More

The worst experience I had in my life. Very very expensive rate with no facilities at all. Smelly and dirty rooms also extremely small. The terrace was horrible and the bar was open when they wanted. The breakfast was just ok. Location is good. The price you pay there is for a 5 star hotel(300eur/night) and the service you get... More

I really love the top terrace! It was marvellous to spend time on the roof and have a drink. We did it only in the last night, because we didn't know about the terrace. The room was just great. Not big, but enough. Very stylish. The location was excellent. Very easy walking distance to everywhere.

I stayed her for just one night on 7th April. I must say this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in Madrid (and I have stayed many). The location is perfect for 4 metro stations: Plaza de Espana, St. Domingo, Callao and Gran Via. You have all the big theatres and shops around. The decoration of the... More

The positives: The hotel is in the very heart of Madrid on Calle Gran Via and easy walking distance to most places that are on the itineraries of tourists and business folks alike. The negatives: I checked into a room on the 5th floor which looked spanking new and reasonably sized but before long found an overpowering smell of paint.... More

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
