The hotel is in a quiet street about 2 minutes walk from the Opera House and Metro station. The style is very modern and unique to the hotel. The rooms are large, quiet and although simply furnished, are spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet (included in the price) has a very wide selection of fresh dishes and is served up until... More

I stayed here for two nights recently in January 2015. I did not interact with the staff much but when I did they were cordial and helpful. When I checked in the staff told me for the nights I was staying they had superior rooms available.I chose not to take that option. My room (110) was fine. I was staying... More

The hotel is very well located, very close to the Opera metro station and to the city center by foot. Our room was in general quite small but with a nice decoration and clean. The TV was ridiculous small and the sink was outside the bathroom, next to the bed(not my favorite) . However, for what we paid I think... More

We chose Mario because of its location and the good reviews given on Tripadvisor. With its proximity to the Royal Palace, Plaza Mayor, Plaza España and Puerta del Sol, we were not disappointed. It is also just a block to the Opera Metro stop. Our room was adequate for the price and the only problem I had was with the... More

We booked this hotel mainly because it seemed in a good location, handy for the metro, and clean, tidy and modern. It fulfilled all these requirements ! The room was small but adequate for 4 nights. The sink was in the room as the bathroom was also small, and the shower was awkward, but we were in Madrid to see... More

The hotel is a trendified, done-up old building in a side street near Teatro Real, which is why we chose it (our recent 3-day visit involved 2 performances on consecutive nights in the theatre). Room OK and clean, though hardly room to swim a cat in the bathroom and the wash basin is actually in the bedroom. The breakfast is... More

Very friendly receptionist, who upgraded us immediately when he saw that he did not like the room designated for us, and helped us instantly even with getting tickets for a game just a couple of hours away. The whole place is very very friendly. Nice room, just enough worn to feel at home. Nice, quiet location. Breakfast until 12:00, which... More

I chose this hotel as it's around the corner from the hotel where I would be staying on a tour. Great location, modern, super quiet room (although a bit small), terrific shower, good breakfast, pretty much perfect. Would stay again.

We picked this hotel for its location in the old part of the city conveniently close to the Opera metro, ideal for sightseeing through the day and restaurants in the evening. The hotel itself is modern and clean and the staff extremely friendly, cheerful and helpful. The buffet breakfast had a very limited choice of hot food but the large... More

We picked this hotel because it was located near things we wanted to see. It fit the bill. It is near the Palace and we walked to the Picasso Museum and so much more. Restaurants near here was a small cafe that was great for breakfast and within easy walking distance were great restaurants for dinner. The hotel itself was... More
