This hotel is an absolute gem. Upon arriving I felt as though I stepped back into the 1850s and had wandered into a wealthy family from that time's home. The rooms are magical and the shared spaces beautiful. I highly, highly recommend staying here. I would also recommend the restaurant Lieu, which is a three minute walk away.

I stayed here for 6 nights with my sister and partners and booked on the premise that it was a quirky serviced hotel with excellent hosts called Paula and Ignacio, who were regularly mentioned in a number of previous tripadvisor reviews, as wonderful hosts. Only to discover Paula and Ignacio left 4 months ago and it is now an "non... More

The place is clean and elegant.Good location and the style of decorating the rooms is beautiful. We find the area safe and nice. The places to eat are near by and Opera house is really close. I would recommend this one :)

We stayed for two nights in January. The room was beautifully decorated and very original in style. It's located in a perfect situation for visiting the main attractions of Madrid. We were able to walk to all the various sites from our front door. Ignacio was extremely helpful in advising us about how to get around. He even made online... More

We stayed here as part of an extended trip through Spain and Casa de Madrid stands out as a highlight from our trip - really the most gorgeous and whimsical and comfortable rooms, fantastic location and the most gracious hosts - Paula and Ignacio who could not have been more welcoming and sincerely interested in making our stay as wonderful... I would definitely recommend staying here! The location is perfect - right next to the opera house and just in front of the palace. Casa de Madrid is beautiful - ornate, lavish, over the top but wonderful. if you want to stay in an authentic spanish home, stay here.

We know we are pretty demanding customers but this was more than excellent experience, Santiago in the reception wished us welcome in a way that we actually didn't feel as customers but more like old friends. I can really recommend this to customers who want something different than normal *****hotels. Neighborhood is also great, lot of good restaurants and tapas... More

As soon as we arrived Paula made us feel welcome and took time to give us lots of helpful advice about places to visit and eat. The whole place is full of books, interesting artefacts and pictures which gives it the feeling of being a guest in someone's home rather than an anonymous hotel. We stayed in the Japan room... More

It might be a great place to stay with lovely people. I don't know. We had a horrid time trying to communicate with the management of the hotel to make a booking and they hustled us in an annoying manner, saying they couldn't email me for some reason. We had a family emergency and had to cancel our trip. Casa... More

Loved this Club like atmosphere, very home from home. Paula welcomed us and what a welcome the friendliest loveliest person ever and such fun and efficient. In minutes she had booked us a restaurant for the evening and in five minutes a Flamenco show for the following night. The Casa is situated in Plaza de Isabel II where the Opera... More
