This hotel is amazing - you cannot beat the location, it on a quiet square, and the staff was very friendly. However, the key to happiness here is to book one of the two rooms with a jacuzzi. These are on the 4th floor/attic which are spacious and a great value. All the other rooms have high tech modern showers... more

This hotel has the same amount of good things (lights) and bad things (shadows). - Staff very friendly and pleasant but not truly professional; - Good location and noisy environment; - Not 4 stars but rates are adjusted; - Power shower but risky bathroom ( slipery); - Free laptop and internet in room. Nevertheless i would come again. more

Despite the many warnings given by reviewers on this site, I foolishly went aheaand booked this hotel for a romantic get away. First things first the staff are definitely friendly and pleasant enough and the location is brilliant BUT I requested an attic room with a jacuzzi and was given a double room with two single beds pushed together! Breakfast... more

We stayed twice in same hotel over 7 days as we went off travelling and returned. As mentioned rooms are very small, especially for us as a family. Foldable bunk beds are comfortable and matresses not as hard as the main beds (two pushed together) which were quite uncomfortable. First room (308) the best. Balacony onto square and room clean.... more

Booked the hotel and flight through easyJet holidays. Hotel very good, clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Excellent location (even though portakabins still in plaza, no noise though all week). Good breakfast spread also. Power shower and Queen size bed a big plus!!!!! Madrid - a fantastic city. Mr & Mrs. Whitehouse. more

Excellent contemporary tech hotel(free laptop and internet in room) very clean and comfortable. Great location for city and sightseeeing ,free coffee and water machines in lobby. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only tiny minor was immediate location of hotel, tucked away in quiet corner was nice but all the local dossers thought so too! more

We stayed here for our honeymoon. As we read earlier, the location could not have been better. Just steps away from the heart of the city, and Plaza del Sol. There were plenty of places in the area that had English menus. The hotel itself was very nice. The staff was very very friendly and everyone that we dealt with... more

As almost always happens, the previous reviewers gave us a very real picture of what to expect at the Petit Palace Plaza del Carmen. The location is wonderful, hard to beat. You may go to almost every major attraction by foot. Besides, you will be among three major metro stations (Gran Via, Puerta del Sol and Callao) which makes it... more

I stayed here with two friends for one evening midweek and was really impressed with the price/quality relationship. Having lived in Madrid for many years previously, I know the city very well and this is really an unbeatable location. It is literally less than one minute's walk from c\Preciados and the "Oso", which is the bear sculpture in Puerta del... more

Have just come back from a four night stay at this hotel. Was disappointed that the room was much smaller than expected and on arrival the bathroom bin was overflowing with the last guests rubbish. The bathroom itself was large with a good shower though I didn't find the water hot enough and we both found the beds extremely hard... more
