The room was very small, so much that the bed has to be in a corner, and between the other side of the bed and the wall the space was some 25cm Also the sound isolation from outside noise was inexistent. We didn't hear anything from other rooms. The noise from the hall was also disturbing (kids running and screaming).... More

We stayed there early March 2015, for a weekend. The Hotel is pretty decent overall, the location is great and the price correct. The biggest problem is the quality of sleep you get, i understand that it's in a very central nightlife loaction, and there always will be some noise from outside, but this is exactly why a hotel in... Location is very comfortable, in a quiet corner between busy Puerta del Sol and Gran Via. Almost all main sightseeings and shopping streets are at walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable but small. Almost half of the room was bathroom that was really big and could be smaller and the room bigger. Free wifi in the room was... More

My partner booked here for a surprise for my birthday. The hotel sent us (very basic) directions from airport but after asking at airport we received detailed directions for use of the metro. Line 8 for 5 stops, line 10 for 2 stops then line 5 for 2 stops. Hotel right in the city centre just off the Playa del... More

The location of this hotel is absolutely wonderful. 2 blocks from the Gran Via, and 2 blocks away from the Puerta del Sol... It's as central as it gets. Many, many shopping and food options available and all within walking distance. This boutique hotel may not be for everyone, especially taller folks. We were on the top floor and our... More

This hotel is really cute and awesome. The staff was really helpful with getting us a taxi to the airport and the breakfast was amazing. While the front desk staff was really awesome, for me the breakfast staff is what made my trip truly enjoyable. Every morning I would make my way down to the basement where a little gran... More

If you are after a budget hotel then this is the perfect place for you. However, be warned you will not be getting a good nights sleep as the beds are like sleeping on concrete. Make sure you ask for a room facing the square not on room 4 in the attic, those rooms are horrific.

Love this little boutique hotel nicely tucked away in a quieter street of the city centre, love the corridors how the lights lit up, they look even better than most 5 star hotels. Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
