Stayed here back in November as I watched Real Madrid v Liverpool. I'll be honest and say we got a great deal for the hotel so this swayed us in staying here. We had a bunk bed, smallish but nicely decorated room and an adequate bathroom. Breakfast was really nice. Buffet style with lots of choice. Location was great. A... More

Perfect location between Gran Via and Sol, no parking, but a discounted garage close by. Breakfast at a reasonable price, hesitantly declared as OK (could spend some more time on replenishing...). Service was adequate, all our requests fulfilled, but they could do with a few tricks like smiling twice a day, give you a quick look while welcoming you and... More

I stayed for a weekend break and we chose the hotel because of its location. We could do all sights by walking and short taxi journeys. The choice of bars, shops, cafés and fantastic restaurants in walking distance is spoiling... The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but more than enough for one or two nights.... More

The Petit Palace has a great location. There are restaurants, a church, and a huge square with a number of stores and restaurants in the area. The Petit Palace Tres Cruces is located 3 minutes walking distance from Puerto Del Sol and 1 minute from Gran Via, we couldn't have asked for a better location as there are plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby, plus there is a supermarket right opposite for groceries. Small hotel near Gran Via. The rooms are well decorated and the location is great. Breakfast is nice. The air conditioning of our room wasn’t working very well so we had some hot during the night. Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
