We stayed in a "superior" room so that may have influenced our impression of our stay (spacious room, large comfortable bed, small balcony overlooking street) but we found Las Cortes to be the perfect place to stay. Regardless, would highly recommend staying in the Barrio de las Letras neighborhood. more

Where do I start? This is a great hotel, I did lots of research and it paid off, thank you TRIP ADVISOR, if it were not for you I would have not found such a great place. The bathroom was large and very clean, it had a bath with a shower and a wet room with a power shower and... more

Nice small unpretentious hotel hidden away in a side street, although centrally located. Well appointed, clean, calm and restful. The rooms are nice for the money although you can't leave a window open as it is very noisy at night with revellers and in the morning with street cleaners. I would use again for business or pleasure. Oh, and the... more

Just returned from a 1 week visit to Spain. Spent 4 nights at this hotel. It is exactly as described. No surprises. The room, just a standard double, was very clean, no smokey smells, good firm bed, and plenty of room. It had a very nice bathroom, with a nice large tub. The staff was very helpful and friendly, yet... more

Very good, clean and efficient hotel.Well worth its 4 stars. Its location was right in the old town - excellent - and only a short walk to most places of interest. Our room was of a 5 star standard.Huge beds, top quality linen, excellent heating/ac and quality furnishings.Above all else was the entrance foyer to our room-bedroom on the right and a fantastic... more

My husband and I stayed at the Catalonia Las Cortes for 4 nights last week, and could not have been more pleased with the location, room, staff, and amenities. We had planned a 10-night stay in Spain-- 3 nts in Madrid, 3 or 4 in Valencia, and then the remainder in Madrid again. The first three were at the Gran... more

My requirements from a hotel are simple: 1) Location 2) Cleanliness 3) Comfort 4) Quiet Las Cortes ticks all of these requirements with excellence. I was worried that the room next to the cleaners would be noisy in the morning (like some hotels I've suffered) but even that was no problem. I believe part of this is due to the... more

We had a lovely stay here. We had room 305, a superior room, which was very large and had a super bathroom as well. The hotel is right in the middle of everything; 15 minutes to the museums, Plaza Major, etc. Bed very comfortable. What more to say. more

The Hotel Catalonia las Cortes is located in the heart of Madrid's old city, a short walk from the Plaza de Angels, and adjacent to a wonderful area of clubs and restaurants. The hotel is a half-hour taxi ride from the airport (~ 30 euros) or a half hour by Metro (2 euros, two transfers to get to the Banco... more
