We enjoyed our stay at this sweet hotel and would recommend staying here without hesitation. I agree with other reviewers, the location of this hotel is perfect. We were able to get to Plaza Mayor, the Prado, Puerta del sol (shopped at El Corte Inglés ) and the train station within 15 minute walk. There is so much to do... More

I love this hotel. It has a warm & relaxed atmosphere, the staff are very warm and friendly, the rooms are a good size and well appointed, and it is placed absolutely perfectly within a 5-20 min walk from the Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Royal Palace, Archaeological Museum, Centro de Arte Reina Sofia and the Grand Via. We had 2 bookings,... More

This is a pleasant hotel with its main plus the location as very close to a lot of bars and restaurants . Plus points also include good amenity set ( such as disposable razors and tooth brush) , complimentary snacks from 2pm to midnight downstairs ( sandwiches, pastries, tea coffee ) and very comfortable mattress ! Room wasn't totally soundproof... More

Staff was helpfull and gave us excellent advise for tapas places and flamenco. Location was perfect. Food and drinks for free was also a plus. The room was beautiful and the hotel is charming. On the first night the floor in the room was dusty. They took care of the problem and next day the room was thoroughly cleaned. There... More

The staff were truly fantastic, they made the visit perfect. From the friendly welcome to being able to recommend places for us to eat and drink along with ensuring our meals were booked they really completed the experience. What a lovely hotel. Where do I start? The location was perfect for our weekend shopping trip as it was so central to everything. The nearest station was Anton Martin and was a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We arrived late in the evening and thought we'd have to go out on a forage for food as we were... More

As always, what really makes the difference in a hotel is the people and the hotel's attitude. The people at CLC were wonderful: friendly and helpful. The hotel also makes things easy: Easy-to-connect-to complimentary WiFi, complimentary snacks and soft drinks off the lobby every afternoon. Excellent breakfast buffet, and they'll make eggs to order if you want. Walking distance to... More

Very well positioned hotel and very elegant. I had booked a standard room but was given a suite which was really superb. Beautiful view from the window of Calle del Prado, very central but also very quiet, I slept very well. The girl in the reception was very nice.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Not a big, grand hotel, Madrid does have a number of those, but very comfortable and stylish. Staff were very helpful and the neighbourhood has a number of good bars , cafes and restaurants. A pleasant walk to the Prado.

Staying in Huertas

Neighborhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighborhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighborhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
