This room was clean, quiet, and very well located. Close to subway and nice area with lots of restaurants so it suited us perfectly. We travel light - one carry on each so we did not have any problems with the very small room (about 10x12 incl toilet and shower space). That might tell you how small the room was.... More

Excellent location on a central street, easy to find and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The room itself was spacious, clean and modern, as was the bathroom. Really good value for money, wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend to others.

Stayed there for one night and definitely exceed my expectations. The hostel is located in the Calle Fuencarral just one minute away from the Gran Vía metro station. The room is quite big for a hostel and everything is clean and super modern. Staff very friendly. The room was even equipped with shower gels and a blow dryer. A/C and... More

This is a really good place to stay, great location and conditions. Everything is new and clean and the employees are helpful. The room I stayed in was pretty big, modern, had plenty of natural light, a table, air conditioning, TV and a nice bathroom. The bed had a good size and was comfortable. Wi-Fi worked perfectly.

This place looked newly renovated. Everything was clean and quite nice. The friendly receptionist checked us in and that was pretty much the extent of our interaction, which was fine. We had no problems and didn't need any attending to. The Hostal was located on a busy pedestrian shopping area in the center of town. We walked pretty much everywhere... More

During the busy Christmas season, I booked a single bed room. I was given one of their unrenovated rooms, which I never saw in their pics when booking. Everything was fine except for the heater, which didn't heat well at all, and the bathroom. The toilet smelled, and when I showered the curtain was not long enough. Water went everywhere.... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
