In August, very good quality price ratio. Very well located in the Salamanca area. Rooms have nothing fancy but pretty neat and clean. Get a room on the top floors thought as the street noise can be bothering. Wifi access ok...although quite slow.

th hotel is placed in a nice area and the hotel size is good, not so big and not so small, the breakfast is very rich, the only point to be improved is that in the room on the street you hear quite big noise of the cleaning truck in the midnight/early morning.

Nice, quaint boutique hotel, perfectly located in upmarket part of Madrid. Sadly no gym or pool and rooms were pretty small and basic but was fine for. A short business trip. Nice continental breakfast and fresh juices.

The hotel is reasonably priced given its very central position in Madrid in the Barrio Salamanca shopping district. Despite this it is quiet at night helped by double glazing. The staff are very helpful. We did not opt for the breakfast at the hotel as there are plenty of local cafes which offer an excellent breakfast at lower prices.

The hotel is located in the upscale area of Salamanca with endless shopping and restaurant options. The metro stop Serrano (Line 4) is only a two minute walk from the hotel and I think that the hotel is worth another visit solely due to its location. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and so is the bathroom. Standard service... More

Stayed at the Hesperia Hermosilla for 3 nights in a superior king room with a nice view over Calle de Hermosilla. This room also had a small balcony, which was convenient for smoking. The room was very spacious and had a lovely powerful shower. The room was equipped with a good working aiconditioning. Breakfast had a lot of choice and... More

We stayed here for three nights in December 2015. Great location in our favorite area of the city. Close to restaurants, shopping, Metro and away from the hustle and bustle of the Gran Via. Rooms are comfortable. We will return during our next trip to Madrid.

Location, it's a great neighborhood. Restaurants & some shopping. And a great and famous jazz club. Walking distance to Madrid's heart, I would say 3 km but a pleasant walk. I usually don't like to walk, and we never took the subway. Near El Retiro Park. Hotel is simple, clean, modern.

This hotel is in a lovely part of the city. Great shopping nearby and plenty of restaurants and bars. Staff at hotel very helpful. Only downside was the noise in the hotel.Closing doors echo throughout the hotel.

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
