We had not read any review before staying at the Petit Palace Art Hotel. Hence, we were not biased in any form and arrived at the hotel without any (high or low) expectations. You cannot expect 5-star luxury, but a decent 4 star city hotel in a good location. We can understand that the hotels interior design may not be... more

We just came back from Madrid, where we stayed in this Art Gallery hotel in Salamanca district. Just couple of weeks ago we decided to spend our winter holiday in Madrid. We were looking for a hotel fairly close to city's main attractions, but in an area where it would feel safe to walk back to hotel from the restaurant... more

The location of this hotel is excellent, right in the centre of Madrid, but in a reasonably quiet street. You are only a couple of minutes walking from the top streets. The shopping mekka, Serrano Street, is two blocks away. The breakfast is excellent with a wide range of choice, served in a tastefully designed restaurant. The rooms are quite... more

I stayed for three nights in this "high tech" hotel for work. My secretary booked this hotel for me. It is an utterly batty hotel. I arrived late at night after a very rough flight. Imagine my surprise when the corridor that led to my room resembled an aircraft in an emergency i.e. dark with blue floorlights to show the... more

Location is great, close to the Retiro park and the main attractions in Madrid are reachable by a short taxi ride. The hotel is quite new and offers family rooms, incl. king size beds for parents and bunker beds for 2 kids (which is not common in many city hotels). Great stuff for the price of a single top of... more

Great hotel in a perfect location for anyone wanting to be near the Retiro park. We have 3 children ages 5, 10, and 12, so the park was a great way to start each day. The staff is amazing. The rooms are quiet, clean, and include free minibar soft drinks if you book on bookings (also the best rate!). Wifi... more

We stayed on May 2006 for two nights. Years ago I lived in Madrid and chose this hotel because of its location close to Goya street and because of its reasonable price. But I regretted not having paid enough attention of a flaw mentioned by others who stayed at Madrid "High Tech" hotels, obviously designed by the same architects. This... more

We stayed at the hotel with our 2 children, age 8 and 2. The family room with bunk beds was perfect, and did have an exercise bike/in-room safe/mini-bar. Agree with the other reviewer that the glass bathroom walls may not be for all, however it worked for us. One drawback is the family room we stayed in does not have... more

I would agree with the previous review. Myself and my husband stayed in the hotel for a week. We had booked a room with a bath and a shower - however were not given one on arrival (apparently few rooms have baths) The initial room we stayed in was clean and compact - nice modern decor..however this may date fast-... more

We had an excellent time in Madrid, loved the city, atmosphere, dining, tapas, partying, just about everything. This hotel is in Salamanca, a nice upmarket area of Madrid, however very quiet in weekends when all shops are closed. The hotel has just opened. We had booked a High Tech room on the hotel's internet site. It promises (amongs others) an... more
