Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Great location, great service and rooms are very spacious and nice. Will definitely go back. Right around the corner from main metro station and great shopping area. Lots of nice restaurants and bars close the hotel.

Hotel Victoria 4 is at Calle Victoria just two streets away from Puerta de Toledo. A very nice 3*** hotel. Rooms are nice, small regular TV (not LCD or something like that). You have actually all you need. I didn't eat breakfast so I can't tell. The staff is doing there job well. Overall you have to remember that you... More

It is the 3rd time that I stayed in that hotel but this time I had to pay over 90 Euros a night to stay there (without breakfast). In previous evaluations, I stated that one of the benefits of this hotel was the location and the quality price ratio... this year I Must say, that only the location was good.... More

Everything was really lovely - room, service, very helpful and nice people, Location is great and everything is really close. Lots of little bars and restaurants around. Room was clean and quite, nice bathroom and Cava in mini bar :) Good price as well as we paid... More

We stayed for a week this September on Business. From Madrid international airport, we took Metro line 8, changing at Nuevos Ministerios, to other lines, and arrived ( Vodafone) Sol, and the hotel was easily located after 5 minutes' walk. We arrived by 12:00 noon and our room was ready. The reception staff at counter was friendly and helpful. Although... More

considering we are in a large city....the hotel is very elegant in its design...the breakfast area downstairs is like old brick caverns....their breakfast was quite good with good assortment of food well prepared and the price was right as well. Hostess more than willing to accommodate us in our requests and helped us with finding places . Its steps away... More

We stayed here in February 2014 for two nights and for one night in June 2014. Our first time we had an internal facing room and the second time right on the street. Highly recommend trying to ask for an internal room. I did wear ear plugs both times as I've learned over the years that regardless of sound-proofing and... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
