This is not a standard NH hotel but a small apart-hotel. There is no receptionist on site after 10pm so check-in was via video, a strange experience, but it worked. The bedroom and bathroom looked old and worn but there was a huge bed, kitchenette, washing machine and fridge. I only made use of the bed! There was free wifi. However, getting the code over the video link wasn't easy, the lady had to spell it out a couple of times. It was the kind of wifi where you have to open a browser page and enter a user name and password. It was very slow. It worked on my laptop but I didn't bother trying it on my phone. Perhaps if I had stayed longer, I would have. As you approach the hotel there is a lovely smell of the surrounding pine trees. This was probably the best bit of my stay! I ate dinner with a colleague in a nearby restaurant. It probably would have been walkable although other reviews say that you need a car so I think it would depend on how far you are happy walking. The hotel has no restaurant, there is a food and pizza menu in the room for what I'm guessing is a local delivery service Breakfast was disappointing, juice, tea/coffee, some average croissants, cereal, yoghurts, and a fruitbowl with a bruised banana, a nectarine and a couple of apples. However, for €65 per night, you can't really complain. If I stayed longer, i would use the fridge in the kitchen and buy/prepare my own breakfast. The hotel was quite noisy in the morning, sounds travel through the door/walls quite easily which was surprising. I heard the receptionist and her colleague and the cleaner arrive and chat - and I was in an upstairs room. I have stayed in another hotel in Pozuelo before and was keen to try this as an alternative. Generally, you get what you pay for. This place is old and tired but for €65 bed and breakfast, one shouldn't have particularly high expectations.…
