A small hotel with a small reception but with the utmost kind staff! Rooms are very basic but large enough and with all main amenities available. The only thing I missed most was the usual hotel room small fridge to keep my water bottles!

Although breakfast is quite simple, staff are very helpfull and hotel is well located. Room was very clean, however, no amenities were provided (only shower/hand gel). Only one towel by person. Good transport connections.

We flew in from Liverpool and took a taxi to this hotel for our first night. Warm and professional welcome with good advice on where to go and where to eat. Good sized clean room with a comfortable bed and nice shower. The breakfast was good without being exceptional but when we left to catch the train to Seville we... More

Central location, excellent cooperative staff,Ibis standardized room decor and operating systems gives comfortable feel. Would suggest travelers to Madrid, to opt for this property, as its very near to metro stations, number of good restaurants and within shopping street. Location is so lively that you will feel as Madrid never sleeps.

With a packed Madrid for the Tennis Open I found it difficult to find a room. With massively skyrocketing prices all over I settled for Ibis by Bilbao Metro at €200 for the night. (Gotta love ripping people where it hurts - right in the wallet for the sake of the corporate masters because of an event) It would have... More

I stayed two nights and spent all of the rest of the day out and about. And that is the point - I needed a place to shower and sleep and nothing else. The Ibis hotel chain offer functional, clean and low cost bases for city visits. Check in was quick, check out is just drop your card in the... More

I spent 4 peaceful and comfortable nights here as a first-time tourist in Madrid. The hotel is very close to a metro station but walking to the main landmarks is perfectly feasible. Although the public areas and rooms are functional rather than luxurious (as you would expect for the price), the staff provide an exceptionally friendly and helpful welcome which... More

The Ibis centro is well located, very close to Bilbao metro which takes you straight in the centre of the city (3 stops). It's also on the main line for Atoche & Chamartin train stations. Walking to Gran Via takes about 25 min. We found the hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful. Most of them speak English & French too.... More

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
