Very good hotel in the centre of Madrid. It is well located with Metro network (Bilbao station just few meters from the hotel), therfore it is pretty simple to get to any part of the city, including Madrid Barajas Airport. Other stations like Tribunal and San Bernardo are also very very close to the hotel and it is much closer... More

Love this hotel. It's a simple place in a fantastic location. Good restaurants, bars in the area and just a few blocks away from all the major streets and attractions in Madrid. They have helped us out with lost luggage, places to go, how to go get there and booking other trips for us. A special shout to Elena for... More

Our son booked us into this hotel close to his own small apartment. The area used to be run down but is now very trendy with lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Metro at end of road but easy to walk to other parts of the city. The Ibis Centro was a haven to return to for a siesta with... More

this hotel was lovely and central for a short break. the rooms were nice and specious. the best thing about the hotel is the reception staff, they are so hopeful and welcoming, they recommended some good locations to eat just a walk away. i didn't however like their lift system, when you call the lift and its full of staff... The location of the hotel is nice. There is a metro line just 200 mt. next to the hotel. Also the surroundings has a lot of nice restaurants. The hotel staffs are very nice, always at the service of the customers. The room that we got was quite spacious and equipped with the "ibis facilities". The hotel offers nice breakfast... More

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
