Hostel was clean and had a great atmosphere. Staff was friendly and helpful. Really nice lounge areas. Cool bar inside hostel (cheap beer and good happy hour prices). Cons- internet never worked. Keys to rooms are tricky.

Convenvenient location, helpful staff, enjoyed the free Salsa lesson with Monique. Went to an awesome salsa dance bar not far from the hostel and had an great time. Breakfast was good. Sharing a 16 bed dorm was ok, people coming and going alot which could make sleeping difficult but not a problem for me as I was out for most... More

I was pleasantly surprised about our stay at cats hostel. There were electronic and secure lockers and multiple plug sockets by each bed. Very sociable for backpackers and multiple activities were organised and available. Bedding very clean as were the toilets/showers. Only disappointment was breakfast and lack of it! Overall highly recommend staying here as we had a brilliant time... More

I Stayed four night at Cats hostel and it was great. The have good installations and nice staff. There is many people from around the world so you get to meet people with different cultures and backgorunds. Of course you have to stay in a bedroom with people you do not know, but if you are open-minded you will enjoy... More

I came to the Cat's Hostel with a group of 108 people, and I have to say there were no major problems and it was a nice stay. The staff is really friendly (especially Roberto and Marco) and are willing to organise plenty of stuff for you if you're interested. We had a nice Sangria and rooftop party (the Sangria... More

The location and maybe the breakfast are the only positives. Our room was STINK. We were in a 6 bed dorm with all guys. I imagine sweaty feet had a lot to do with this. But there was absolutely NO ventilation. There was one plug in the room to serve everybody. Only one main light. No lights beside beds. It... More

The location is at walking distance from main venues and just minutes away from the metro. The staff was friendly, warm and welcoming; although the abundance of English speakers limits the Spanish-learning opportunities. Particularly enjoyable was Carlos' walking tour: it gave life to Madrid, gifting each historical monument with a story. The rooms are clean, comfortable and easy to share... More

Great location in the city center, clean and comfortable for a hostel. Really cheap, engaged and friendly staff who really made the experience so much better. There were some things about the place I didn't like; weird showers, bathroom pretty far from dorms, poor breakfast, small lockers etc but the atmosphere compensated for it. Anyway, great hostel if you want... More

We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay here at Cat’s! We are very partial to the location as well as it is very close to everything. Yes some people don’t like the push-showers, but they are very common for hostels that are located in Europe. Thank you for your comments; we will see what we can do to... More

We chose this hostel because of the excellent recommendation by lonely planet... Very disappointed. Staff are disinterested and unhelpful, couldn't even give us a map of the city. Although the dorm room we stayed in was clean, there were no windows and freezing cold air con on all night. The showers had a push button system so that you need... More
