I'm really surprised to read the negative reviews of this hostel, as in my opinion it is simply amazing, definitely in my top 3 hostels. I arrived early in the morning and got the bed immediately, I don't think that would happen in other hostels even if the bed was available. My room perhaps was not the best, as it... More

Located at the heart of Madrid, this hostel is maybe one of the most friendly and cool of Spain. The staff is amazing (especially Pauline who speaks French and help you for whatever you are asking her) to sum up, go there! :)

We are really glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. We are really partial to all our staff members because of their willingness to help, and the rainbow of languages they all speak. We hope to see you on our next trip to Madrid here at Cats hostel. More

Excellent location. Great and helpful staff. Wifi was sketchy in the common room. Doesn't work in the dorms. Expect to help conserve water by using their push buttons for showering. Erica w Mad City was funny and vivacious for the free walking tour.

I know the hostel has no control over who books the beds, however it's the second time I've stayed here now and people just seem to have no respect or common sense and turn lights on, shout etc. at who knows what time. If you want to get drunk then fair enough but don't disturb others. The activities are good... More

Not that good. I've paid for a PRIVATE ROOM with bathroom but I got a private room without bathroom. The bathroom was shared by 4 others rooms. Also, they have not cleaned my room (I've been there for 3 nights). If you are looking for parties and beers and do not care with the hotel itself, this is the right... More

This is not a place to sleep its a place to party -my fault. The beds are foam and very uncomfortable , staff are unfriendly, showers and bathrooms filthy. The couches smell like the new york subway. The noise in and out of the room are obnoxious the walls, made of cardboard. But, hey if your traveling to kick it... More

This hostel has everything you need: wifi, clean accommodation, gorgeous courtyard, a bar, a karaoke bar, clean toilets and showers, super friendly staff, fun and exciting tours and PERFECT LOCATION. I have absolutely no complaints and would recommend this hostel for solo travelers as it´s quite communal (walking tours, tapas tours, pub crawls) and for those traveling in a group... More

Like every hostel, this hostel has it's flaws. But where it lacks in amenities it makes up for in character. The building is a renovated palace with a gorgeous -- yet very hot -- common room with indoor fountain. There is a bar on the first floor and an underground "night club" in the cellar below the bar. The downstairs... More

Great hostel. Awesome activities!! Special shout out to the twins (Viviana and Erica), they were fantastic and very knowledgeable about the city. They also gave us great tourist tips. Only downside was the WiFi which was patchy and unreliable.

Cat's was a very fun place to stay in Madrid. They offer so much from cooking/dancing/and Spanish classes, to pub crawls, to guided walking tours (the guide vivianna was SO knowledgeable and friendly), and it all comes with a breakfast included. I wasn't huge into the Madrid party scene and it still had so much to offer.

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay here with us and all of the activities that we have to offer our guests. You are right, you don't have to be in the party scene to have a great time in Madrid, even in a party hostel. We are so glad that you had a great time and we hope... More
