First of all the breakfast is included which is a great advantage. Moreover the location was outstanding! The bathrooms were constantly being cleaned. The fact that there was no living room was the only desadvantage.

Yesterday I left this amazing hostel. Such a friendly people, and quite good breakfast. The hostel is perfectly located on Gran Via. Just 5minutes walking of the Royal palace. Actually you can walk everything. If I am going back, I take definitly that hostel. Thank you very much for the hospatility!

We stayed in this hostel for three nights. Location is excellent, it's situated on one of the main roads in Madrid. The rooms are basic, showering facilities are excellent. Kitchen with a breakfast is included. It has Wi-Fi. Only downside for me was it's very noisy, due to its location. This isn't a 'Party Hostel'. It's very much the opposite,... More

When I got there, the staff from MuchoMadrid showed me my room, the bathrooms, etc. The people there, including the staff, were very friendly. When I came by the night I checked the bathrooms, and they were very clean. All you have to do is to clean the dishes and glasses you use, which is less than most of the... More

Stayed at the Beginning of June. Needed a place before hotel reservation already made. This Hostel was a great choice. The bed was comfortable. The Hostel has a great location and offers a small breakfast, which was very convenient. Two in our room, but we shared bathrooms and showers (kept clean). Would stay here again.

The location is ideal to get everywhere in Madrid, right in the centre of two metro stations within 2min walk on the Gran Via high street, one of the main high streets in Madrid. Staff were helpful and pleasant, wifi was good (unless you moved away from reception desk) and situated in a nice building block! Only cons were street... More

Great price. No bunk beds (in my room at least). Large lockers. Hot showers. Balcony onto the Gran Via. Close to everything. No hauling yourself up a million stairs- elevator! Fantastic day staff was very helpful and accomodating!

The location can't be best!! Staff is really friendly. It's a clean hostel which is really good... You are close to pretty much everything in Madrid that you may not want to miss... the "gran via" room for two has the best view ever... I loved it!!

This hotel, or rather hostel is housed on the 7th floor at the Gran Via. The location is very good and the price low. Breakfast is included, but simple. The rooms are very basic and pretty worn-out. You do get a towel, but a fresh one every day is too-much asked for. Showers, toilets etc are there, clean and no... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
