I enjoyed my days in this Hotel, the service was warm and friendly, they help in basic stuff like giving address info, places that must to know and had my clothes for laundry on time, for me was important because I expended 2 nights there and in the morning had a trip to Barcelona. Hotel is well situated, a few... More

The hotel has an excellent location in Salamanca neighbourhood. Staff is very friendly and prepared to help. However, you can see that the rooms have been redecorated quite quickly, in order to have the hotel operational soonest. Furniture is not up to standards with relationship to the price. Our bathroom was not a good presentation. The space in the closets... More

On the positive note, the hotel is located in (probably) the best area of Madrid. Easy access to shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself looks really "tired". Rooms have probably been decorated in the 80's/90's and never refurbished. It gave me the feeling to wanting to be a boutique hotel but somehow they failed. The bed was terrible. I had... More

I always stay in Barrio de Salamanca when I am in Madrid, since I cannot stand the noise of "Puerta del Sol" and "Gran Via" area. I usually stay in this hotel or in another of the NH chain. Both are nice and have perfect location. Petit Embassy misses parking, but the hotel is great. I love taking breakfast just... More

Great place to stay if you have a dog. Bed for the dog was waiting, as well as a food/drink bowl. Room is spacious and good atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff, with a special thx to Daniele who helped us with all our luggage. Easy location if you like shopping.

I recently stayed at this hotel on a trip with my family, we stayed in one of the duplexes. A few things 1. Forget about using the restroom privately, the door has no lock and is practically just a fogged glass in which you can pretty much see the inside. Also there was some kind of a bench underneath the... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
