I stayed here for only 1 night and was pleasantly surprised by how well I slept and how nice the facilities were considering it was so cheap. It's true that it's on the 2nd floor and there is no lift, so if you have a big suitcase then maybe this isn't the place for you. My single room had 3... More

My stay at Dolcevita was great! The room 407, where I stayed, is this cute, cozy challet-like bedroom with private bathroom, with a romantic decoration. The hostal is located in one of the coolest neighbourhoods in Madrid - Chueca - with walking distance to all the main touristic sites, as well as tapa bars, restaurants, etc. The Staff was very... I was there for two nights and the only nice things were free wifi, the shower and the location. On the other hand I had dirty bedshits and problems to have new ones, Only one of the employees spoke english, I had to change room the second day, no elettricity and no water the second day. Moreover, people are allowed... More

I stayed here for 3 weeks whilst looking for property to rent in Madrid. I had to extend my booking several times (initially only booked one week as thought I could find a suitable apartment quickly) and so moved around several of its rooms. POSITIVE NOTES: - cheap - staff and guests were all very friendly - rooms were kept... More

No way to know from their listing or website, but the hotel is above two busy gay bars and the drunks in the street will keep you awake until 2 or 3 am each morning. They do not accommodate room change requests to an inside room. The shared bathroom had a slimy shower curtain that didn't reach the floor--allowing water... More

Stayed 3 nights in June. The room was very simple, no air-con, so can be too hot. no elevator. Staff was friendly. The place is great, especially if you are gay, and want to go out. The price was great for that place, since I only was in need of place to sleep, spending all time out the hostal. wifi... More

I stayed here for just one night... I agree that the stairs were a bit much (especially lugging my suitcases down exhausted and half drunk at 6 the next morning) but my room was so cute, I shared my bathroom with only one other person who I never saw. I even had a little balcony. The staff was friendly and... More

This hostel has a great price and a great location! For my own room, with a shared bathroom, I paid about 22 euros for one night. The staff was really friendly - if I wasn't downright exhausted I would have spent more time chatting with them. My room was pretty adorable, with a big comfy chair and relatively comfortable twin... If you are looking for somewhere with good value to stay in Madrid this is the place. We paid for a room with a private bathroom which was literally built inside our room...but it was worth it. Our room was very small but we were only there to sleep so that wasn't an issue. Our room was clean and comfortable.... More
