We stayed at the hostel 3 nughts and it was overall a good experience. The room was very clean, staff was helpfull, location is indeed amazing - just in the center of everything in Madrid. However we experienced some serious drawbacks of our choice - the hostel is ob an extremely noisy street, we could sleep only with windows tightly... More

The location is really really good, right in the middle of nightlife district Chueca. It is also only a few blocks from the shopping street "Gran Via." From both "Gran Via" and "Chueca" metro stations, you can get access to many parts of Madrid easily. It is also only two blocks from Mercado San Anton, where there is a gourmet... More

I stayed 3 consecutive nights at Hostal Dolce Vita as a solo traveler. You'll find below the impressions on my stay. Negative : First, when i booked via hotels.com, i asked for a room on the top floor but upon arriving the hostal didn’t get the original request. So i got a room on the 3rd floor (309) which was... At 36€/night for a double including bf: excellent deal. The only negative was: the bf: sweet, cheap cakes + some crackers and jam, not what a Belgian is used to for bf :-) But again, at 36: you can't go wrong with this one.

We stayed in here for 4 nights, the room and hotel was comfortable and decorated with a lot of character. Everything was clean and comfortable. Great location and a great price. The staff spoke little English but were friendly and helpful regardless. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Overall a great stay.

The hostel has a rooftop terrace, which was beautiful! There are potted plants everywhere, and it offers a great view. Madrid generally has great weather, so my boyfriend and I were able to have breakfast up there several times (even in November). The staff is very friendly and willing to help. The hostel is less than a 5-minute walk from... More

There is a rooftop terrace, it is amazing! I think it is one of the best views in Madrid, and you can use it for free. Dolcevita falls somewhere between a hostal and a hotel. It offers the budget friendly accommodation of a hostel, but you get your own beautifully decorated room. I stayed there for more than a week,... More

I stayed 3 nights, in a single bed with shared bath and had a nice experience. The walk up the stairs would be difficult if you had a lot of luggage (I did not). The room was charming, clean, and had a cute little balcony overlooking the street. The staff was very friendly, and helpful, and it felt secure. They... More

colorful rooms, internet, confy bad. Reception 24hrs a day. It's a very friendly place. Didn't want to live, I felt like at home!!! It's not far from Plaza del Sol, in the CHUECA area. Great experience! If I'll ever go back to Mdrid, I'll book a room again! (nb: it's located on the 4th floor and there is no lift!)... More
