I think it is easy to do this in bullet points! . Tiny room with uncomfortable bed. . Too hot. . Nice shower room (stupid size basin with no plug) . Not very clean - last guest's soap in the dish biscuit crumbs on the floor. . Helpful staff . this place was built to look nice, but not to... more

The room was not too big but nice and comfy for two people. King size bed, mini-bar, good working internet connection (you need to ask the concierge for an id and a password). Some people expressed their concern over the bathroom door, which was glassy and see-through, but in our case it wasn't a big deal. The balcony over the... more

Now this is a good hotel as it is on the oxford street equivalent of madrid, but i have to say, i was sharing with a friend and the bathroom was not private enough for my liking! the rooms are modern and clean, but the en suite had no door that closed, more like a swing to glass door and... more

This place is amazing! Rooms are new, modern and clean! Shower is very hi tech and amazing to come home to after a day of sweating! Spacious and balcony is nice! Be warned it is right bang in the red light district so our view from balcony was of the "locals" downstairs. Proved to be fun to watch while having... more

We looked at reviews and were unsure of a hotel to stay in, so we arrived on main street (Grand Via) in Madrid - came up stairs on the underground and saw this High Tech sign and as we didn't want to lug our cases round Madrid looking for hotels we decided just to stay here. It was a really... more

I think this hotel is not great for anyone over 30. The beds are too hard, the rooms big on "design" but low on comforts. A luggage rack and tissues are two things they don't seem to have heard of. In addition, bathroom doors that don't "really" close don't work for me - even when I am vacationing with my... more

Great location, right on the Gran Via and within easy travel by metro to anywher for 1 or 2 euros. The staff were very friendly and approachable, great spoken english. There was a massive fight in one of the rooms when we were there but the staff sorted it out very quickly and it was quiet each night thereafter. Some... more

The bathroom of the first room we got at Hotel Italia must have experienced the repeated flooding one of the earlier reviews described, since it had a very strong smell of mold in it. Looking at how the bathroom was constructed some kind of unwanted growth seemed inevitable, as I could see inside the wall through a crack between the... more

We loved this hotel. We needed a triple room for a college daughter staying with us and the room was huge. The shower was invigorating. Balcony is small but you can step out and take a photo of the street below. The internet allowed us to unwind after a day out and about. We used the subway due to its... more

The best thing about this hotel is the location. When we got out at the Gran Via metro station it was like being in the middle of Oxford street- it's not quiet (so if that's what you want look else where) but is very lively and around Xmas time was beautifully decorated. It is 5 minutes walk to Sol and... more
