An average hotel, very centrally located. The breakfast served was below average an the rooms a bit small and not well maintained. A lot of noise and disturbance from the streets below. The staff was helpful

Stayed here for 4 nights and the hotel was perfect for our requirements! Set in a perfect location along the Gran Via, close to plenty of shops, restaurants and bars! Upon arriving to the hotel, we were put in a room which looked out over the back streets, so I went to mention this to the staff on reception. We... More

With uncertainties, our first visit to Madrid was a great one! Staying at this hotel provided us with closeness to the most important sites. Almost all are walking distance which worked with us because we certainly enjoyed Spanish Cuisine. An important element that made this possible, in addition to doing my homework, was the excellent service provided by the staff.... More

This hotel was great. Close to all the places - shopping, sightseeing, restaurants and bars. The hop and off bus was just on the main road. The rooms were great. We stayed there for six days and enjoyed every bit of our vacation. The staff were very helpful too. The only thing lacking was tea or coffee in the rooms.

We stayed as a family of 4 for one night. The location is very close to the center, but in a relatively quiet side street. When we walked in, we saw that there were two sets of doors to the balcony, the old/ period ones, and a set inside, aluminum. We thought this was great for soundproofing. Well, when we... More

Lovely central location. Very comfortable, helpful staff. A small walk to the delights of Malasana. I'd go back there when I next go to Madrid. It's next to Gran Via Metro and within easy walking distance of anywhere you choose to walk to!

The hotel is situated in a very central location, Gran Via and its surrounding streets have plenty to offer, the room was clean and of a decent size, our room was fairly quiet, the buffet breakfast was nice. I would say this hotel offers a good value for your money.

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
