This is a hotel that is clean, decent and a bit above average. The furnishings and rooms are nice, but the drawback is the front desk staff that are not very friendly & seemed distant & bothered when you ask them a question. The only other issue is that it is bit far from the central entertainment and shopping areas.... More

Typical spanish hotel, not far from airport, 10 minuts driving from Atocha train station, close to tube station Legazpi, and to Matadero area with a lot of restaurants and cafes. Inside of the hotel nice argetine restaurant. Very clean room, excelent staff always polite and helpful Good choice price/quality, I suggest it to everyone who has to spend some days... More

Thanks for your opinion. We don,t want to lie to our guest, we haven,t got a flamenco show or people playing guitars in the hall at all, if that means a spanish tipical action. And we are so far from the airport, sorry. But the rest its true!!! And so thanks again, Seriously, we are very thankful. More

It was a very convenient location for my event....The Madrid Open tennis masters. It was also a short commute to the town center....Downtown Madrid. Hotel was clean and relatively quite. Train station is a stone throw away. You can get around quite easily. I actually took the train from the airport to Legazpi, and just walked approximately five minutes to... More

Madrid was a birthday treat so we needed a good hotel in a quiet area and close to the city centre. We found this little gem online and were not disappointed. While the street outside is busy, the room was very quiet and peaceful. A spacious on-suite room with comfortable bed and everything supplied. The staff, while not plentiful, were... More

I stayed here one night before a tour. The hotel was adequate. Quite a way out of city, but very close to metro. The walls are quite thin, so I could hear my neighbours conversation (well into the night) and the bed was very hard. The staff were courteous and helpful when recommending a lunch venue.

Thanks for your opinion. Sometimes the neighborous are not very polite. Any case, sorry for the inconvenience. About the hard bed, we are checking anybody else will have the same problem. Thanks for all. More

The Gran Legazpi is a very peculiar place: from outside you wouldn't expect much as it is located in a rather anonymous area of Madrid. The reception's approach is very friendly and helpful. Then you see the rooms and you'll be pleasantly surprised: clean, practical and spacious enough for a short stay. The only problem is the breakfast: first you... More

A very classic Spanish hotel. The hotel is easily accessible from the autovia without having to cross the whole city. And, what was very important for me: it has a safe garage that is not open to the public, so your car and what is in it, will be safe while you are strolling through Madrid. Just round the corner... The Hotel Gran Legazpi is the perfect place in Madrid if you don't need to be smack in the middle of things, are planning to travel by metro, and want to see a local neighborhood. The hotel is only one block from a main metro line which takes you to the middle of Madrid in 10-15 easy minutes. We ate... More

OK Hotel for the price. Location a bit out of the way, but short access to Metro and Bus. Close to cultural centre (El Matadero) and nice park along Manzanares River. Breakfast average. Staff very friendly.

In summary, the rooms are small and outdated, the walls are very thin so all the noise travels through making it very difficult to sleep, and it is very far from all the attractions (although the metro is close by and easy to use its so much nicer to discover a city by walking around). Also, the staff were (in... More
