Bang in the centre of Madrid, close to the metro, the Hotel de las Letras was the perfect stay for a quick business trip. My room was clean, bright and modern, breakfast was perhaps the best I'd had from similarly priced hotels and the staff were friendly and efficient. I really couldn't fault it.

We stayed here for 10 nights and it was an excellent base for our holiday. The staff are young, friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, of good size and nicely furnished with a pleasant writing theme. It is an excellent location close to Sol and straight across Gran Via into the Chueca for restaurants and bars. Easy walking to the... More

Newbies to Spain this charming hotel has been a wonderful base from which to explore Madrid. Excellent helpful staff ,well informed about local sites and who go out of their way to assist you. Large room, Comfortable beds, great pillows, great bathroom and if there's one comment it's the slippery bath tub bottom felt it could use more "foot stop"... More

This hotel is excellent - perfect location - we walked everywhere to the older and newer sections of Madrid. Hotel personnel were friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant and a "library" with computers, comfortable chairs to relax and books you can borrow. Room was large as was bathroom and immaculate. Highly recommended.

I'm a bit behind on my review. Arrived late on a Friday evening last May, and after checking in met friends at the rooftop bar! What better way to start your trip? After a couple glasses of wine and feeling exhausted from traveling we made our way back to our room and ordered room service (adequate). The next day after... More

We have just returned from four nights in this most wonderful of hotels and were very sad to have to leave it. The superior room with balcony (too chilly to make much use of) was well appointed and attractive, the bed extremely comfortable and, being on the sixth floor, quiet and well away from the noise and bustle of the... Loved this hotel. Very nice room with big windows all around. Balcony was amazing too, but couldn't use it too much because March was still cold at night. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Staff was very helpful and professional. Good location between museum district and old town.

We stayed at Las Letras for 7 nights. When we arrived jet-lagged at 9:30 AM, we were prepared to force ourselves to wander the streets until an afternoon check-in. Imagine our pleasure at discovering that our room was ready for an early am check-in! The room was quite spacious for a European hotel with it's own changing area, spacious closet... More

Pros: Excellent location on Gran Via, close to all attractions, especially if you like to see a city on foot. Stylish, attractive roof terrace. Pleasant staff. Very clean and tidy. We paid approx £250 for the room for 3 nights. Good value for money, especially for the quality of hotel in a capital city. Cons: Slight lack of attention to... More

I stayed at this hotel on my last night in Spain, the last of 5 hotels I stayed at throughout the country on a 10-day trip. I thought I was saving the best for last, especially with the connection to the Small Luxury Hotel brand. I was wrong. I called the front desk directly several days prior to my arrival... More
