You'll be wowed by the concept and the design of the JC room. It's very close by Puerta del sol and Gran via, which as a first time visitor, are pretty much what i need. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room is intriguingly designed. If you want a distinguished hotel experience, choose JC room!

I liked the room, it was really nice. The only 'bad' part was that we had no good connection to the WiFi and this for the "superior room". I liked the room, but I wouldn't call it superior. The price was honest for what you got. The minibar got filled everyday (2 cola's and 2 waters, which was really nice).... More

Room was quite small but very clean. The hotel was quite noisy by night and also there came some weird smell to our room from the air conditioning. Location was excellent, very close to the main attractions and metro station. Overall small but nice room with great location.

Rooms have been named as countries. Our room was Estonia and there were Talinn pictures in the wall which is really nice. Room was very small but ok for 1 night. We left the luggages in the car, probably we couldn't move if we put them in the room. Hot water was ok. Bathroom is also small. If you are... More

One of the best places I stayed in my Europe trip, the price is really good and includes breakfast (I recommend Real Madrid in the menu and I like the milk). Friendly staff and helpful they gave us a good deal to watch Salsa dance. The only downside was a sewerage smell from time to time in the room but... More

The room was a little small. I had paid for a superior room, but even this was quite small. If this was listed as a 2 star hotel, I wouldn't have booked it. It really felt like a two star hotel in disguise. The room service was alright from the bar downstairs, tough the beer was a little warm. The... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
