The hotel is very well located very near to the Opera, the Palace and conveniently located to the Metro, it has good amenities and restaurants, super markets nearby, Weakness is a very small room, very small bathroom and basic breakfast.

Great location for city major sites and Bernébeu, easy reach of Metro. Hotel facilities very good. We had room without view but not a big deal. Breakfast in adjacent cafe/bar was set and basic. Lots of bars and restaurants minutes away.

Service is good, rooms are clean en OK and 5 min walk from the center of the city. Also good attainable by metro 1 min from hotel. Breakfast was little bit small. We enjoyed our trip to Madrid and stay in JC Rooms Santo Domingo Hotel.

The hotel is in the city center - close to all important places, tapas bars, metro station and a supermarket. There is free minibar and free WI-FI. The room was clean and staff very friendly. The walls or the door are quite thin so i could hear people who were walking on the corridor, which was annoying at night.

Excellent stay the room was clean and tidy and in a busy part of town. Which as a couple on a city break suited us. Might be a bit too busy for family's. Centrally location was brilliant for seeing the sights and sounds of Madrid would definitely stay again

You'll be wowed by the concept and the design of the JC room. It's very close by Puerta del sol and Gran via, which as a first time visitor, are pretty much what i need. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room is intriguingly designed. If you want a distinguished hotel experience, choose JC room!

I liked the room, it was really nice. The only 'bad' part was that we had no good connection to the WiFi and this for the "superior room". I liked the room, but I wouldn't call it superior. The price was honest for what you got. The minibar got filled everyday (2 cola's and 2 waters, which was really nice).... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
