Very clean! Wide beds, cozy hall and very friendly staff. About 3 minutes from metro. It's right on pedestrin street so u can do shopping or have a dinner beside. There is small kitchen where u can have a breakfast.

It is the worst hostel experience I have ever had. Don't stay there if you can find another!!! Checked-in about 11:30pm since I took an evening flight to Madrid. The guy at reception took 30 mins for the registration. Then he found that the key of the room and locker has been carried home by his colleague. I waited at... More

Good price. Good location. Poor breakfast. One of the night I haven't sleep anything because of the noise. The men who cleans the toilets always comes in the morning when people need them more. The hot water comes slowly. Average

We stayed in this hostel for our last night before flying home. We stayed in a 10-bedded mixed dorm, where we got a good amount of room and comfortable beds. The hostel was set out nicely and was a comfortable stay. The toilets were very small, but this did not become a problem at all, due to our short stay.... More

Very nice and clean hostel. Friendly receptionists. Never had any issues with cleanliness..wifi was very good. Beds are a little noisy and outside the street can be rowdy but overall we had a good visit and if coming back to Madrid, would visit again because of its excellent location.

Having backpacked for a month, three of us finished up in this hostel so had already had our fair share of hostel experiences. The main positive was the receptionist who was extremely helpful, gave us an overview of the area and marked on a map the top places to see and where to eat. The hostel itself was pretty grim,... The guys were very welcoming, they even let us keep our bags there before chek-in. The kitchen was not very equipped to allow cooking some food. It only had a microwave. All the showers had something broken. Both the showers and the toilets were very very dirty, even though they were "cleaned" everyday. One of the cleaning ladies uses her... More

The rooms are nice and its location is very good (in the heart of madrid). The problem, however, are the showers. We were at the hostel in the middle of january and the weather was somewhat very cold... As the water of all the bathrooms. The staff told us that from 14:00 to 21:00 was the perfect time to take... Very nice place, friendly and clean. Nice sharing living room. It says youth and its really youth :) my fully recommendation for shortly stay in Madrid, because it is close to metro station and a lot of shops and restaurants around.

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
