It's clean and located in a central area, so it was confortble and convenient! It was also helpful for me that its laundry was not so expensive. The staffs are helpful and they offer variety of services like city tours or free paella.

Located in the centre but not noisy, well managed at night, I m 33, not a drunk student, and I could sleep better than in a hotel the previous night in the same area! very nice to organize breakfast before they open the kitchen as I had to leave early

Dirty and noisy hostel. No wifi in rooms, just in the reception where it was always crowded. No warm water on the third floor; they said it's better to take a shower on the first.... Poor breakfast. Rude staff. I gave 1 star because I can not put 0.

I was sleeping in the room for 10 people with over own bathroom. This hostel was really good, offering many possibilities how you can enjoy Madrid. For example: really funny free city tour, party in the evening somewhere close to this hostel, hepl with everythink. Just one little bit negative thing, that WiFi is just on the reception, no in... good enough for a cheap hostel, but the worst thing is that I barely could get any hot water in the showers that are in the rooms, though at the same time people said that the common showers had no such problem.

The hostel is amazing! Really close to plaza del sol, clean, warm, cheap!! What else?!?! Breakfast is included and in the room there's a locker. They have luggage room. The only annoying thing is that the wifi is just in the hall, but not in the room. There's a caution 10 euro for the key and blankets.

Great people, very nice staff and very good location. At the reception you can find all the information you need for visiting museums, traditional restaurants and other touristic atractions. Very good for nightlife

Anything other than the location is terrible. It's loud, the staff are useless, they are just capable of cashing in. The guy behind the reception desk just told me where my room is. No check out time, no bathroom, no kitchen. I asked him to recommend me a place to eat, he told me to go to a square that... More

La Posada de Huertas is excellent situated on walking distance of all main attractions in the city center. Restaurants and Tapas bars are on the corner. The beds are good, the breakfast is sober, but ok. It can be a bit noisy in the night, depending in wich room youre staying.

people stomping up and down the stairs all night, talking loudly and banging doors. 3 people I spoke with couldn't rest. It's a noisy place. The guy at the desk didn't ask anyone to be quiet, he told me it was my problem and they would move me the next day. not impressed. go party, go to bed at 4,... More

Staying in Huertas

Neighborhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighborhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighborhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
