I was really impressed with this hotel. The design and decore were gorgeous, and the whole experience was pretty flawless. We upgraded to a larger room and found it to be very comfortable. The ONLY real flaw was the bed was not as comfortable as I'm used to, with the pillows being rather flimsy (we simply ordered a few extra... more

Our trip got off to a bad start, stuck on the runway at Heathrow for an hour whilst BA tried to fix some catastrophic electrical fault on the plane. I can't remember the last time I flew BA and wasn't delayed. We landed in Madrid after midnight and I was pleased to see a small army of taxis ready for... more

The design of this hotel is really amazing, but the rooms are very small and not very comfortable. The breakfast is overpriced.Location is quite good but I'd better stay in other 5-star hotel next time. more

The terrace of the Urban has become a popular place to go out in Madrid, but from our experience it turned out to be a very crowded place, where people had to seat on stairs sometimes, and it was impossible to get the attention of any waiter. The age of visitors was around 40-50. Much better was the bar downstairs,... more

Agree with most of the other reviews, would say 4 start rather than 5, rooms a bit small and not a lot of storage, bathrooms are great, overall looking just a bit jaded now for a 5 star. Great bar though - Glass bar? Excellent fro a glass of champagne or a Mojito before heading out, popular with locals and... more

The beds in Urban Hotel Madrid are extremely hard. This may not bother you if you usually sleep on a very hard surface such as a floor. But if you don't, you may find as i did that you wake up with sore muscles. Do you wanna take that chance? On the plus side, there is a pool, open in... more

Alright, you feel that they want to blow you away when you get into the lobby. It's true, the decoration is stunning, the asian sculptures, ceiling lights, etc... They also put a lot of emphasis on the lighting in the room, I mean, the bellboy spent as much time explaining about the lights switches than the rest of the room!... more

Stayed here over the Easter break. We booked a standard double room, which was small, and as the wardrobe can’t hold everything, it meant that you are always tripping up over your own stuff (bags, shoes, etc). An annoying feature was the fiddly wardrobe door which was one mid-folding large door, which when opened meant that you couldn’t get around... more

Although this hotel has a 5 star ranking, I'd give it 4 stars, simply because the rooms were so small. We loved the design, the service (although the front desk seemed to always be overwhelmed). The fitness room is no bigger than a large closet. Great location in the thick of things. more

great location and design details at this city hotel. April in Madrid was fantastic a great city, great weather and lovely people. The hotel has amazing features, the roof top terrace for instance, but was closed for some peculiar reason despite glorious weather. The staff were efficient but not friendly at all, except the bellboys, you felt like you were... more
