The location is excellent. All the sites are in walking distance. There are lots of restaurants and bars in the nearby streets. The hotel is very modern and elegant. The rooms are small and decorated in dark colours. The beds are queen size. We were told this is the case in all the rooms (perhaps there are bigger beds in... More

Nice style , the rooms are a good size , nice design and comfortable. The service at reception is with a smile and helpful . Every detail was thought in advance. The drinks on the house on arrival were a nice touch. We had a wonderful stay , and when I'll be back in Madrid I'll stay there .

Really nice Hotel ! I quite enjoyed the service and the spacious room ! It's elegant and contemporary modern with an Asian touch ! Great rooftop and some nice additional touches such as pool and fitness club (a bit small that fitness though...) and last but not least a good breakfast and bar area. The hotel is very central Madrid... More

This hotel is great choice for your next trip to Madrid. The location is great, in the heart of town. The hotel is beautifully decorated, modern & has gorgeous rooms. The view from the roof is nice as well. The breakfast is fresh and taken care off, although not that extensive. But definitely high quality. The lobby bar is a... More

We were in Madrid for a couple of days to catch the tennis, and spent our days before the matches by the rooftop pool - such a nice way to spend a sunny day. The food and cocktail menu was great, and the staff were brilliant. The hotel itself was excellent. They got the balance perfectly between attentive service but... More

One of the higher end boutique hotels in Madrid. Great service (better than an ME hotel I stayed in ). Location is good, between the Prado and Sol station, thus walkable to many places. It is very near the Congress. Lots of local cafes and restaurants nearby. Pricing is a bit higher than the average but it feels more classy.... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Urban Hotel, the hotel itself has a very modern, classy and clean decor with a great central location within walking distance to all of the major sights. The roof top pool and bar is a great place to relax in the sun after a day of exploring the city... More

We were very surprised by this beautiful boutique hotel. We completed our stay at Urban Hotel Madrid. Check-in was smooth, fast and efficient. The room was well designed cozy and functional. We stayed in a standard double room which was surprisingly comfortable, clean, and chic. I love that they have art collecting pieces in each room, it added a special... More

It was everything we hoped it would be. It was more than comfortable, most convenient, and the staff from doorman on arriving to doorman on departure were efficient and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Clothing storage was plentiful, and the nightly chocolate on the pillow was delicious.

Staying in Huertas

Neighborhood Profile
Huertas
Also known as Barrio de las Letras, Huertas was once home to prominent literary figures, Miguel de Cervantes and Lope de Vega among them. The neighborhood is committed to celebrating its rich heritage: Calle Huertas itself is inlaid with quotes from celebrated authors, street names pay homage to them, and second-hand bookshops pervade. Huertas receives a fair amount of spillover from the center — side streets around Plaza Santa Ana take on a foreign party atmosphere at night, and you always see young backpackers navigating the streets — but as you descend into the neighborhood, everything becomes a little more cramped and slightly less refined, and takes on more of an underground feel. Live music is at the heart of Huertas: by night, its subdued bars are ideal for meeting friends, sipping cocktails, and chatting quietly while enjoying jazz or singer-songwriter performances.
