Fantastic location near Puerta del Sol. Close to everything. Fantastic breakfast spread. Very friendly and helpful front desk reception staff. Wish the rooms were a bit more spacious though. Great value for money hotel

Checked in. My first room was large but a smoker had clearly just checked out. I asked to be moved and they moved me without any trouble. The second room was much smaller and smelled of mildew. Both rooms had windows out to a 10m2 void. Breakfast was simple but ok. Coffee was good and lmitless. WiFi was patchy.

This is a really great hotel to stay in if you are planning a short stay in central Madrid. Calle Arenal is a mostly pedestrianised street that is close to the Metro, easy walking distance to most of the tourist sites/museums, and great selection of places to eat. We missed not having a kettle in the room, so if you... More

The hotel is right near Puerta del Sol. The room are ok for the price paid. However as most of the hotel of this chain they are not overlly cleaned and they are often noisy. For this one in particular they have a discount on parking but you are going to pay 25 euro per day. Better to go by... More

My friend and I just returned from a 3 night stay in Madrid and chose this place due to the reviews and very reasonable price. It was a great choice. The room was ready when he landed from the U.S., it was clean, comfortable, large bathroom, and close to everything. We did not have to take the metro our entire... More

Location is very good. But staff (especially... More

The location of the hotel is perfect. Close to restaurants, bars, and transpiration. The rooms were big and very clean. The hotel staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
