Very central hotel, just off the Gran Via and a short walk to the Puerta del Sol, so very easy reach to restaurants, shopping and 3 metro stations. Rooms comfortable and staff friendly, bathrooms ok, though shower a bit small. Good value for a central Madrid hotel

Easy to get to from Sol station. Lovely rooms with clean bedsheets and nice bathroom. Breakfast was incredible with a nice selection of hot and cold dishes. The location of the hotel is perfect for sightseeing and shopping - located in walking distance of many of the major shops and quite a few of the major sightseeing locations. Great hotel... More

We stayed in his hotel for two nights it's right in the center of Madrid. Just a few minutes walk from the metro. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great value for money. Was very clean, the beds comfortable and you'll arrive quickly wherever you want to go in Madrid with the metro.

This hotel is found in between Gran Via and Calle Preciados. Close to a number of metro stops and places of interest. Service is excellent. Rooms are not too hot. Towels changed daily and spacious room & bathroom. we had a quiet room too. Breakfast was adequate. Staff could speak English too. Would stay again if I return to Madrid.

We stayed 4 nights, went on a 4 day tour and came back to Madrid and spent another 3 nights here. Our first room had a huge balcony, but to be honest we didn't use it because there were no views. Both rooms had a a king size bed that were wonderfully comfortable. Rooms were spacious as was the bathroom... More

This is in a very central location. The hotel is older, but it was very clean with a friendly staff. They had a radio with a speaker on the ceiling with cool chill music! I really enjoyed my stay here. Walkable to everywhere!! We even walked to the palace!

More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
