Good family run hostel. Helpful staff. Central location, can walk anywhere. Good eateries within walking distance. Very clean and efficient for a one person traveler. Could rest very well. The photos are not what you will find but what you find is acceptable.

I was in this Hostal with my friends. We had a room for 3 person, big enough to stay in confortable, tidy and clean.Just bathroom was quite small and very close to one bed. The hostal is central: you can reach by walking the most attractives of Madrid and, in night, you can find party very close!

The hostal is very close to centrum and it's very nice. The rooms are a bit small but that's okay. The breakfast is actually quite okay for a hostal so that was great. However the walls are SOOOO thin. Litterally you can hear so much throw them. However my neighbors on both side is my friends so that's okay. My... More

The hotel is on upstairs in a charming old building (the wooden stairs' footfalls are worn concave from years of use). Our room had four single beds and a balcony overlooking a narrow old Madrid street/alley. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable - very standard European budget hotel appearance. The bathroom was equipped with a bidet and a shower with... More

The hotel was very nice, the beds were very comfortable and there was free wifi. The room and the bathroom was clean. The only problem I had would be the bathrooms because they were very small and I had to hold the shower head to take a shower, which I didn't like. The location is nice because everything is within... More

Very well situaMted, clean rooms, bathroom ok; most historical places and musea ad walking distance. Only negative point: other guests dont care for silence.Important M-station and railwaystation nearby. I 'll recommend it to other people.

Our room that accomdates four had two seperate sections with (2) double beds in each section. It was nice to be a little bit seperate. Bathroom was fine. Clean towels and toiletries. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only thing to mention is that you can hear noise from the hallway as people walk by. 5 min walking to Plaza Del... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
