Pension Chueca was a decent, low-budget option in the heart of the gay neighborhood. It's proximity to the Chueca Metro station can't be beat. Beni, the propietor, was also very warm, welcoming and accommodating. When I arrived it was obvious that I was going to have a difficult time being comfortable in the single beds, so she upgraded to me...

Upon arrival we were informed that the room we booked was unexpectedly unavailable, which is not something anybody likes to hear when travelling. So, they upgraded us and gave us a beautiful (and big) room for three people (we were only two) with an ensuite bathroom and a balcony. Amazing! The place is really secure and very well kept. As...

I arrived in madrid very late, but the owner of the hotel waited up for me, helped me carry my suitcase up the old stairs to the second floor where it is situated (apparently they´re working on a lift) and gave me a map of the city and pointed out where we were in relation to all the main attractions....

chueca pension is in the heart of Chueca district just 2 minutes walk from the metro station. the place is clean, which is very important for me and quiet enough to sleep till noon after crazy night in a neighbourhood. rooms are quite basic, with a shower (careful if you're an xxl person, it's really small) but cozy. and the...

Advantages. Great location, no more than 500 metres from Gran Via and Telefonica bulding. Room is extremely small but very clean and has all the base facilities you need. Face-lift was done not long ago. There is a Wi-Fi Internet via Fon network in all rooms of the pansion and free internet access from a computer near the reception. There...

As a solo female traveler, it was a good, and relevantly cheap place to stay in Madrid. the owner Beni was fabulous and very sweet. Loved the neighborhood and was walking distance to most places of interest. Rooms were find, although street side could be noisy.
On the plus side, Beni the proprietor, is very friendly and works hard to make sure you are taken care of. The pension is in the heart of the gay club scene and close to the metro. The only room available was a triple room and it was huge. Everything is basic, but clean and well kept.
Unfortunately, there is...

Stayed here in the Chueca, great hip area. Felt like I was in Silverlake (Angeleno here) with all the cool shops, cool bars & gritty streets. Beni was great to come back to and talk about my many shopping excursions. BTW, Figueroa is a street that is right behind Chueca Pension and it's known for their lovely suede/leather shoes!!! Thanks...

Chueca Pension has a great web site and a good price with a good location. But don't fall for it!
It doesn't has breakfast, but most hotels in Spain are like this.
What it doesn't say in the web site is that it's on the second floor, without elevator. Which means you have to walk up 2 floors, carrying your...
