Stayed here for a weekend, upon arrival the staff were very welcoming and check in was easy even after having a evening flight. The room was nice and clean. The only negatives were that the room was very hot and even with the internal window open it was still very warm. Another thing was that the TV didn't work but... More

I did visit the Vincci Centrum due to a business trip and found this a great hotel. The service was at the best level I have seen and the location is in the middle of Madrid and lots could be seen by walking. The room and the hotel was very clean and with super interiour. Looking forward to my next... More

Booked this hotel for two nights as I wanted to be in the center of Madrid and they had a good offer online. The check-in was very good, the lady at the reception was very friendly but she gave me a room which was freezing as the heater was out of order ( Room 211). I called in the middle... More

This hotel has a marvelous location for the first visit to Madrid. Central, handy for open top buses, metro & taxis. Beware taxi drivers who are only looking for long trips> Rooms are very small, the terrace was larger! We didn't use breakfast facility (17.50euros) as there are many good local cafe bars at half the price. Front of house... More

Extremely well presented hotel. Close to all the amenities of central Madrid, but on a quiet street. The staff are excellent. They were very friendly and always willing to help out. Always saying hello when we walked in. My partner and I were both very impressed.

Overall a good choice in central Madrid, near Sevilla metro station. Modern, clean, comfortable room. The rooms facing the courtyard have virtually no daylight - small window and dark netting hanging on the outside of the building. The one I stayed at the first night was very cramped with awkwardly positioned furniture and the shower water temperature going from cold... More

Interior is modern and lovely, altho' TV is too high for comfortable viewing. Location is great, short walk to everywhere. Staff are friendly and helpful. Price is okay for the size of room, location and standard. Suite of toiletries and items. Free wifi. Lots of cafe nearby with cheaper and wider choice of food so I didn't do breakfast at... More

Situated near Santa Ana Square much nicer than the touristy Plaza Mayor. Staff were very helpful and room clean and comfortable. Down side, there was no proper door to the bathroom- quite embarrassing when visiting the toilet and daughter in the bedroom! Rated a 4star hotel I did expect tea/coffee facilities, unfortunately they were sadly missing. Lastly a mirror in... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
