Vincci Centrum has this nice, cozy vibe about it throughout. The rooms are well spaced out and extremely clean. Room service is prompt and thorough. The location is good, with walking access to the bus and metro. The staff is very courteous and polite and go out of their way to help you. Special shout out to the cute reception... More

Excellent stay, location was perfect for all 'must do's' in Madrid, Front of house staff were very helpful and efficient. Room (706) was big enough for our 4 night stay and well appointed, it only missed a tea making facility. Will recommend and stay again.

My son and I stayed at the hotel for one night. The location was great, really close to the metro, which gave us great access to the city. The room was clean with a nice and well equipped bathroom and the balcony was really big. We had a good breakfast at the buffet. They have a traditional breakfastbuffet as you... More

We loved this hotel. The staff was very helpful and kind. The location was terrific. We walked everywhere and always felt safe, even late at night. The room was larger than expected and very comfortable. The bathroom was also larger than expected with two sinks, a full bathtub and a rainfall shower head, as well as toilet and bidet.

The hotel is really, as the name says in the center, 5 minutes from Porta de Sol and really close to Huertas with lots of choice for restaurants & bars! The rooms are nicely furnished - really like the combination with green & dark brown to put some highlights - very good bathroom & amenities. Breakfast buffet good mix of... More

The Vincci Centrum hotel is located just 100m from Sevilla Metro Station and a 10-minute walk from Puerta del Sol. Rooms have a TV, free Wi-Fi, large comfortable double bed, air conditioning, a minibar and a private bathroom with two sinks bathrobes and a hairdryer. The breakfast was pricey so we didn't eat here. The reception staff were very helpful,... More

This is a small, intimate hotel in a central location in Madrid. The staff are all outstanding! We found this hotel to be convenient to points of interest, transportation, and restaurants. We would definitely stay here on future trips to Madrid.

The hotel is well situated in the centre of Madrid. It is reasonably priced and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The artwork in the entrance is appealing. For the price, my room was reasonably well appointed. So far, so good! However, the musty smell from the bathroom permeated through the whole room to such an extent that I had... More

We booked a room with a sun balcony at an extra cost but took up the offer rate on the internet where no cancellation was allowed, so we were trapped. The rate was also inclusive of breakfast. Our stay was for 7 nights. The hotel room was very small with hardly any space for strong/hanging clothes. I asked about another room... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
