Charming hostal with very good location. Everything is near: Puerta del Sol, good restaurants, shopping and the nightlfe. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly. We really loved the neighbourhood! Highly recommended, will definitely stay in Marlasca again! More

The hotel has an excellent location. It is situated in the heart of Madrid close to metro and main touristic sights. A lot of tapas bars and cafés with traditional Spanish food were near the hotel. The room was small, but very clean and well equipped. The staff was polite but they did not speak English. The price was reasonable.... More

This hostal is right in the barrio de los letras in the center of Madrid. The rooms are very clean, well equipped, wifi works in every room. We have stayed there many times and every time the staff is very helpful, even though we never know our schedule or length of stay in advance. Restaurants, bars shopping and entertainment are... Stayed here for 3 nights. It was an excellent choice for a weekend base. It's 2 minutes walk from Puerta del Sol in the heart of the city. It's not 5 star but what you do get is a central base in a clean hotel for £50 a night which is very good value by Madrid standards. Loads of places... More

This great place offers fantastic value for money in a brilliant location in the very centre of Madrid. The room we stayed at had a little balcony overlooking Calle de la Cruz and we could just about see Casa de Abuelo-a wonderful bar serving gambas al ajillo (prawns in garlicky, spicy oil) and vermouth on tap. The room itself was... More

This great little hotel offers fantastic value for money in an excellent location, right in the centre of Madrid. We have stayed at the Marlasca on two occasions and intend to stay there again soon. It has authentic Spanish character and the rooms, although not luxurious, are clean and nicely furnished, with en suite facilities. The air conditioning makes the... More

The hostel is an old house but the rooms were remodeled to provide the basic conditions (the floor is wood, has electric shutters which don´t let pass the light, has LCD and air conditioning and the toilets are small but modern). The decor has nothing to recommend it and there are some crashes that could be avoided (I could not... More

Very small and cheap hotel right in the middle of a vibrant neighbourhood. Excellent value for money. The staff was very helpful, even though not all of them spoke English. They really went out of their way to plan our trip to a local water park. The rooms were spacious and basic, but the decor was charming to say the... More

We stayed here for 2 days in end August in a triple room. Awesome location. Very close to Sol Metro and Plaza Mayor etc .. lots of lively bars in the neighbourhood... very friendly staff... rooms were a bit small and a/c was not sufficient .. but we hardly stayed much time in the room. More

My wife and I stayed in a double room with an ensuite bathroom. The room was small and awkwardly shaped, but was clean and the bed slept well. We also had a nice balcony overlooking Calle de la Cruz. The location could not be better. You are basically a 15 minute walk or less from almost all tourist sites and... More
