This was a great place to stay after arriving from the States. We took the Metro straight to the hotel, and this eliminated the $40.00 cab ride from the airport. Room did not have anything extra to speak of, but it was clean and worked for our needs. more

The hotel is ideally situated right by the Plaza Mayor. Our room was tiny, but we are pretty low maintenance and don't spend much time in the room. The staff was nice. They didn't speak very much English, but enough to get by. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel since it was not included in our room rate.... more

We had a superior room which was very basic.Staff very friendly and helpful.Very clean and comfortable,ideally situated for all the tourist traps.I guess for such an expensive city it was not bad value.Add E1.50 per day for SAFE hire. more

We took the recommendation off tripadvisor and booked here for our first night in Madrid.
