I would definitely book this hotel again. Very good value and a great location. Hotel was very clean, also staff helpful and courteous. In a quiet side street off Grand Via so convenient location, for shops, bars, restaurants etc. Only downside ( nothing to do with the hotel ) difficult getting into Madrid from airport, metro too complicated with luggage... more

The hotel is 100 meters away from the Gran Via and the metro station. It is located in a quiet street which is a very convenient location. It is easy to go anywhere in Madrid either by transport or walking. It is close to Puerta del Sol, Callao, Plaza de España, etc. The rooms are comfortable although not very large.... more

I only stayed for a short period because me and my father only went to Madrid to see a concert. The hotel is quite cosy and nice. The breakfast was great! more

We really enjoyed our stay at Siete Islas Hotel. The place was impeccably clean and our rooms always smelt of clean linen which was wonderful. Bathroom is spacious and also really clean. Breakfast was also very nice. Probably the best thing about it was that it is so central. In the heart of the shopping area and literally two minutes... more

The hotel is located just off the Grand Via in a quiet and slightly down market street. The downside is that the area is frequented by prostitutes, however this should not put you off as they are unobtrusive. The hotel itself is well located and clean. I found the staff friendly and the breakfasts varied and substantial. Normal fare for... more

Located just one block off Gran Via so great location. Side street perhaps not the best but not a big issue. Touted as four star but on the basic side of that category. Rates are usually reasonable so in line with standard. Rooms large and comfortable although somewhat basic for a four star hotel. OK breakfast buffet for a Spanish... more

First, about pluses Keep in mind that this is a budget hotel situated in a central part of the city. Very convenient for sight-seeing: we managed to get almost everywhere on foot. Room was basic but fine - I did like the long corridor - so we didn't hear the lift or the neighbors. Clean bathroom with plenty of towels,... more

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Siete Islas for four nights in September 2009. As previously mentioned the hotel is located on a seedy street but we never felt unsafe in any way. Hotel is central and right next to Gran Via - metro station is a couple of minutes walk. Close to shops, bars and restaurants. More than... more

Central, quiet and good value. Breakfast is good. Located in a prostitution area girls won't bother you if you're not alone. Rooms are confortable and despite being so well-located and some construction works nearby you can have a good night sleep. more

Booked this hotel as part of an internet madrid city break deal for the May Bank Holiday weekend. The hotel is just a few steps away from the Gran Via metro station situated in the "centre" of "centro" - the city centre. The madrid metro is on a par with London & Berlin underground / metro systems so having the... more
