If you are going to Madrid then you must stay at this hotel, don't look any further. The room was beautiful, very spacious, lots of natural light, high ceilings, very comfortable beds, very clean. The location is very central, right by the Gran Via metro station. more

I stayed at Senator Gran Via with my wife. We went to Madrid for my birthday and it was close to perfection. I had a nice surprise on my birthday.... the hotel staff had left champagne on ice in our room while we'd been out touring the city. It was a very nice touch. Staff were very friendly and helpful...... more

If you want a central location and a good value package then stay here - as I did between 28-31 Aug 2009. The star rating system, as is often the case, is fairly meaningless as the hotel offers few 'facilities' for its four stars (so if it's luxurious surroundings you want look elsewhere) but what it does offer is a... more

Very central hotel within walking distance to most sites. Had room on the second floor with balcony facing onto the street but could hear no noise at night. As well as air conditioning in the room which you can set yourself the room had a ceiling fan. Free minibar of soft drinks which was replenished daily. Room had all facilities,... more

My wife and I stayed in this hotel for a whole week from July 20 to July 28. The hotel is located in the intersection of Gran Via and Calle La Montera, just one block from the Puerta del Sol. There is a metro station (Gran Via) in front of the hotel, which is pretty convenient as the metro is... more

Stayed here for 6 nights in a triple room. The hotel is in a central location, with the gran via stop right outside the hotel door. did not feel unsafe at any time. There was construction work that caused some disruption but this was minor. We required a triple room and got a large spacious room with 2 twin beds... more

Great location close to the plaza del sol and down the Austrias area. We really like the room. The roof was just ok, not a really nice view. We used it to rest and sightseeing and it was just great. more

“We enjoyed our stay at the Senator Gran Via. We booked it as it was very central and looked to be of a higher quality than some of the others; it definitely didn’t disappoint. We checked in late and were given a room without a balcony. We asked if we could change to a one with balcony and they said... more

We stayed here for one night in May. We were very happy and had no complaints. The subway station, Gran Via, is right outside and it takes about 30 mins from the airport. It is in a central location and in 10 mins walk you are in the main square. The rooms were well maintaned and the air conditioning worked... more

Reception helpful and informative. Not immediatly obvious but you can get a cooked breakfast which is cooked while you wait. Some rooms have outward views of the city others face into the internal coutyard. The contents of the mini-bar are free and are topped up - choice of still water, coke and orange juice. Tea and coffee making service in... more
