“We enjoyed our stay at the Senator Gran Via. We booked it as it was very central and looked to be of a higher quality than some of the others; it definitely didn’t disappoint. We checked in late and were given a room without a balcony. We asked if we could change to a one with balcony and they said... more

We stayed here for one night in May. We were very happy and had no complaints. The subway station, Gran Via, is right outside and it takes about 30 mins from the airport. It is in a central location and in 10 mins walk you are in the main square. The rooms were well maintaned and the air conditioning worked... more

Reception helpful and informative. Not immediatly obvious but you can get a cooked breakfast which is cooked while you wait. Some rooms have outward views of the city others face into the internal coutyard. The contents of the mini-bar are free and are topped up - choice of still water, coke and orange juice. Tea and coffee making service in... more

I spent two nights in this hotel on the way back to Canada. The only two good things about this hotel were location and responsive staff. The location was great if you were into shopping and gay bars. The hotel was just beside the Gran Via station - which took about an hour from/to the airport by the tube. The... more

Stayed 3 nights over Easter 2009. Upon arrival, they had no record of my reservation, which was strange since I had booked directly on the hotel's own website. However, they found a room for me after a few minutes. The room was medium sized with a balcony and view onto Gran Via. Although it was a very busy street, no... more

We stayed in the Gran Via on the 26th March for 3 nights. The hotel room (312) was spacious and very clean, with aircon. There was a radio/cd, tv, telephone, free soft drinks from mini-bar (invaluable at 5am in the morning) Our room was quiet at night. We did not have breakfast included on our deal and the room cost... more

Centrally located to all city centre sights with a metro station just outside. Very handy if you want cheap travel in from the airport rather than 30 Euros in a taxi. Reception is small and the waiting area/lobby is similarly small. For groups to meet you can use the bar area. Reception staff are very helpful with advice and tips... more

Read about this place online and truthfully the lobby isn't all that impressive. From there though it all gets better. It is right next to a Metro stop which makes it easy to get anywhere. The rooms are very nice, with sound proof windows, deluxe beds and very nice bathrooms. This was my third time to stay there. In addition... more

Very good hotel, with a very good location. Among the (many) positive points: large and clean rooms, sound-proof windows (so there is all the benefit on being on Gran Vian, without the noise of the traffic), nice interior with inside-panoramic elevators, good breakfast with a lot of choice. The location is ideal, on Gran via (cinema & theater avenue), at... more

Had to write a review for this hotel as some reviews did'nt seem very fair. The staff were great, the hotel was beautiful and the city was awesome. Would definitely stay there again, we were right in the heart of the city and it wasn't at all seedy, ok there were some prostitutes but they were no bother at all... more
