Excellent location, just off the main Gran Via shopping street. There are lots of shops and restaurants around the Hotel. We encountered all friendly staff. Family friendly. Good WiFi connectivity. Clean. Decent Air conditioning. Good soundproofing. Comfortable beds.

Very central location, and you can easy walk to most places from here. There are 2 metro stops close by also. A taxi from the airport to this hotel costs 35euro, which isn't bad. The hotel has a 90s feel about it decor-wise, the communal areas are clean and well cared for. there is a lift, and 5 floors of... More

Overall - mediocre hotel. The location is the strength of this property. It is close to public transport, just around the corner from Plaza del Sol, but on a quiet street. It offers family rooms with enough space for a couple with 3 children. Our room was spacious, with one bed in a downstairs area, two singles upstairs, and a... More

We stayed in this hotel twice during our trip to Spain and I highly recommend it. Extraordinary location, 30 seconds from La Gran Via. Quiet, clean rooms. Free wifi that you can only connect 2 devices 2 (4 would've been nice). The staff is very friendly. We stayed with our 2 small kids in the quintuple rooms and those rooms... More

Hotel with a great location, and nice rates. Our room was like a studio, with 2 stores, very cool. The breakfast is complete but simple. Higly Recomended. The hotel is close to train stations and night life. The avenue has great shoppings and stores.

There s nothing special about this hotel apart from its location ( just across the metro and around dominoz pizza and burger king and walking distance from the main city centre area ) , apart from that the room and facility were old ( i heared they renovated them now but not sure ) - visited sep 2011

We had trouble with cancelled flights from the US and our 2 week vacation is Spain was off to an awful start. Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
