We stayed at Ganivet Hotel in January 2012. The room was basic but clean and comfortable, staff helpful and friendly and the car park under the hotel very useful. This hotel is a good base for central Madrid being close to the Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and the amazing Mercado de San Miguel. More

The hotel Ganivet is located close to Puerta Toledo, two min. walking from the underground station. Old Madrid, Palacio Real and Plaza Major are walking distance. We got a good deal at 51 euros (no refund). The hotel is just a few years old. So everything is fairly new. The bed was comfortable.
