Overall I liked this hotel. We were travelling with a 6 month old child and stayed 4 nights. I had emailed with a question about getting a kettle in our room for bottles and had no response. We requested a travel cot when we booked and had to request again when we got there. However we got a travel cot... More

two aspects of a good hotel are most important: quiet night in a good bed and a extensive choice for breakfast. This hotel has both. Although we had a room with limited view on the court yard it was clean and of good quality and had a safe. Metro within 100 meters brings you everywhere. The metro in Madrid is... More

We've stayed all around Spain and this was one of the worst deals ever. The rooms are freezing in February. You can turn on your own heat in the room but the floors generate waves of cold and the bathroom was like an icebox - which I suppose is why this is the only hotel I've stayed at in Europe... More

The hotel is perfectly situated just down the street from the Plaza Mayor. You can easily walk to almost any downtown tourist spot. It's unpretentious but spot on if you are looking for a comfortable home base from which to conduct your exploration of Madrid. The breakfast is flat out AWESOME - couldn't have asked for better at the price... More

This hotel makes an excellent base for staying in Madrid. The sights are within walking distance, yet the neighbourhood feels Spanish and not touristy, with the unmissable Sunday morning El Rastro market literally 2 minutes away, and a range of inexpensive bars in the street. Our room was very clean and comfortable and we got excellent sleep every night. The... More

Great hotel at a very reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. There is a good selection at breakfast to set you up for the day and with lots of bars and restaurants around there is plenty to choose from. The hotel is a 10min... More

Stayed at the Ganivet in October for 3 nights in town. Position OK, close to the city centre but the neighbour was not the best and dirty. The room was good priced, good sized and clean but we asked for a double bed and was two singles. Included breakfast was OK with a good varieties of choices. Quite unhelpful staff,... More

The location of this hotel is probably the biggest attraction for me! The room was tired and had a musty/unpleasant odour ! The breakfast good so far as continental goes, so it was fried eggs on toast for me! I wasnt too impressed with Madrid in general.....the Bernabeu Tour was my highlight. As for the New Years celebrations? What a... More
