Book it with a breakfast, it is better than I would ever expect, with a great choice of warm and cold food and fresh fruit, worth of a 4 star hotel. The room... it is correct and appropriate but a bit past its best times. I personally don't like beige and brownish decor so it simply didn't cater to my... More

Good hotel. Clean and comfortable. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful and were able to advise on trips and sightseeing. Location within walking distance to the tourist sites. Metro stop yards from the hotel and easy to get to from the airport by metro although a couple of changes but only took 45 mins.

Chose the Ganivet for our 4 day stay in Madrid due to its ideal location and very reasonable rates. This strategy didn't work too well last time we visited Barcelona (check out my review of the Condestable!), but the Ganivet more than met our expectations. Firstly, the location is superb - just 250 yards from the Puerta de Toledo metro,... More

We choose this hotel after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, and we weren't disappointed. The hotel was easy to get to and near to two metro stations. The metro was easy to navigate. The only negative posts about the hotel concerned noise at night in the front of the hotel. So my first request was for a quieter inside room... More

The hotel is good and the location is very nice! Although, the hotel don't respect some "details" of reservation....I reserve non smoke bedroom AND queen size bed. When we arrive, we discover that we have queen size bed OR non smoke bedroom, not both.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights. The location of the hotel is close (walking distance) to everything - the Metro, Plaza Mayor (a city square where a lot a cafes/restaurants line the 4 sides of the square so you get a full view of the activities happening at the square while eating), Mercat San Miguel (a tourist... I learned after staying here the first time when I put in a room at the front of the hotel; to ask for a 'quiet room' next time. This is what I've had each time until my last stay. I was put on the 3rd floor at the front and had about 3 hours sleep! BEWARE that the street cleaners... More
