Hm...Very interesting hotel, because I had no need to communicate with the stuff much. Only to ask a password for free WiFi and to call number of my room in breakfast time. There is air condition, but I didn't use it. There are water coolers on the each floor. Breakfast isn't generous, but it's enough and tasty, so I like... More

Ganivet Hotel is perfectly situated for a city break, being a comfortable walk from Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and the Royal Palace. We also found the walk home from Chueca and the shopping area of Fuencarral quite easy. If you need to use the metro, which was easy, the closest stop is Toledo, a couple of minutes from the... More

We stayed a few days in Madrid and congratulated ourselves every day for having ended up in this hotel. I must admit that I was slightly dubious, because the price was so low, and we are talking about a hotel in a centrum of a capital, but all my prejudices were proven wrong on arrival. The room was nice and... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel Gavinet for 4 nights in the middle of August and had a great stay. The hotel is very clean and modern looking and the rooms are very nice. Beds are very comfy and the bathrooms are well equipped! All of this for a very good price! Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for 4 nights. This was our first visit to Madrid. We used the Metro to get to and from the airport. It takes 3 lines but it is actually very easy to get to the hotel. We bought a 5 day ticket so didn't have to bother with airport surcharge or needing change etc during our stay... More

Enjoyed my stay. Had a triple. Rooms are small but it accommodated us nicely. Also, enjoyed the coffee shop in the hotel. Did not partake in the Continental Breakfast, found the coffee shop more reasonable. They only had bath towels and hand towels while I was there, no washcloths. Otherwise my stay was without incident, which is a good thing... More

Stayed at the Ganivet for 4 nights in August. Read lots of reviews before choosing this hotel, based on location and price. We were more than happy with the hotel, it served as a great base to explore Madrid. Ten minute stroll to the Plaza Mayor and 100m from bus stop for Madrid Tour bus. Our room was immaculate, bathroom... More

We were given a street facing room which wasn't at all noisy as I thought it would be as the windows kept the noise out. The room was big enough considering we still had enough space to move around after they put the baby cot. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was pretty good, many different options to choose from. The... More

Had a lovely stay here, requested a back facing room but was given a street facing, didn't matter at all as the modern double glazed windows kept out all noise, breakfast was okay if u made it down early enough, friendly staff throughout, room was clean, modern and comfy beds, cheap yet good quality a short walk to plaza major... It's located really close to some monuments and old streets. The metro station was also nearby, so it was convenient to travel around. Room was clean and comfortable, but average in size. Only problem is that the air-con was on constant heater, which made the room too warm. Opposite the hotel is a club, so it tends to be noisy... More
