I stayed for only a night here, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay longer if necessary. I loved my balcony view and the decor was quite eclectic and great for photo ops.... If that is your thing ; ) The staff was very courteous and enjoyable to converse with. Room was perfect size and everything worked great! Right by train... More

We were group of friends coming to visit Madrid. Hotel is located close to Prado museum, Plaza Puerta de Sol is 25 min walking distance. Bedroom was clean and we even had a nice view. Breakfast is poor and it seems that the lady who works there counts each bite you make!

This in by no means a 4 star place but the night staff on Sat 6th July 2014 were amazing! The guy's were very sympathetic to my stolen PPort & phone and one left the desk to help me look for cheaper accommodation around as I didn't want the double and the singles were not "available". Had seen negative reviews... More

We stayed only 1 night but wish it was longer. This is across the street from the main train station in Madrid and very close to two of the great museums. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The best part was the room rate. It is an excellent value for a very clean room. We even had a mini... More

A very good hotel to stay in Madrid. The location (close to Atocha rail station, Prado museum, Reina Sofia gallery, metro station to Madrid center) is one of its huge advantage. Very clean and confortable rooms. We enjoyed our stay (school group )

We recently took a party of school students to Madrid and stayed here. The hotel was excellently located and felt safe and secure. The rooms were clean and the students were happy with them and the facilities. The only negative was the noise from other groups and the very grumpy night manager who seemed to be looking to catch the... More

Yes, the hotel does have a dated lobby but I like it. The rooms are smallish but very modern / as is normal in Madrid, unless you pay megabucks, there is usually no view. The location opposite Atocha is absolutely perfect. Cross the road to get the train directly to Toledo (fabulous), walk around the corner to the parks, botanic... More

3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

The location is excellent for central Madrid but there are so many other hotels to choose from in the area which offer much better value. The room was small and dingy, and conveyed a feeling of mustiness and lack of care. Just replacing the bedclothes would have given it a more modern feel. The service was average at best, particularly... More

stayed here for one night as part of our Chelsea FC fans trip to watch semi final game in 2014 champions league. Needed a hotel close to train station as we had an early 6am train booked to barcelona. Hotel was very clean if rather old and traditional. Hotel receptionist could have been a lot more friendly, maybe they were madrid... More

The main selling point of the hotel is its excellent location, close to the main Atocha station, La Reine Sofia, Parque del Retiro etc. The building itself is rather old and dated, as was the beige decor of the rooms that had a slighty musty smell. My parent's room had a balcony with a beautiful view of La Reine Sofia... More
