The San Lorenzo is a 3* hotel located in a very good position just off the Gran Vía (close to the Sol area of Madrid). It is in a great location--we could walk every where!! However, we did get ripped off by the cab driver coming from the airport--he charged us 40 euros for the ride! The staff personel were very helpful and nice. The room was the biggest disaster! We had a family room which according to the hotel would sleep 4 people comfortably!... more

I should have re-read & heeded the previous reviews on this lousy hotel. Although it is located near the metro and in the central area in Gran Via/Chueca, be prepared not to get any sleep, as the rooms are above a noisy street, where you will be kept awake by the bars below at night and the garbage trucks early... more
