Hotel is at good loaction in mid of Madrid & recomended for Shopping purposes. The Best thing i like is Breakfast option . You can take frm 2 Euro to 12 Euro & take things of your choice which is far better than a continental Buffet Breakfast , Where things of your choice are very less some times .

Hotel Europa is perfectly located just of Puerto del Sol. I was able to walk to every place I went to in Madrid. My room was quiet, comfortable and clean, and the staff is consistently friendly and helpful.

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Europa during our trip to Spain in Mar/Apr 2015. We had to change rooms when we first checked in due to an unpleasant odor but the front desk was very helpful and cooperative, asking us which room we would like to move to. We ended up in a quiet room overlooking a charming courtyard.... More

A perfect hotel to explore Madrid, smack bang in the middle of Spain (kilometre zero). Rooms, which are of good quality are quiet at night, which is not always the case with Madrid hotels. Very friendly and accommodating staff. This place is great value for money. Access from the airport is excellent. Take the 8 line to Mar de Cristal,... More

Located right off Puerto del Sol with entertainment, restaurants, and public transportation. Clean, old-fashioned European hotel. Staff very helpful. Only downside is noise from the square outside, and rather thin walls between rooms. I always take earplugs and a white noise machine when I travel.

This was at least the fourth time I've stayed at this hotel. Location right on Puerta Sol is great. Easily walk to the museums, Palace, cathedral and Plaza Mayor. The rooms are neat, clean, modern and a reasonable size. The people at the front desk are always very helpful and friendly. I am sure that there are nicer places in... More

Perfectly situated at Puerta del Sol. Short distance to everything. Good value. No noice from outside, but very noicy from hallway and nabours. Get a room away from the elevators.. The room is simple, but very clean.

My wife and I have traveled to Europe a number of times and we enjoy staying in the middle of whatever City we are in. In choosing to go to Madrid we wanted to stay in this location and were amazed at the value that Hotel Europa offered. The room was clean, spacious and had an excellent view of the... More

We enjoyed our two night stay at the Hotel Europa, the location is within walking distance to some great attractions, such as the Royal Palace and the Prado Museum, which was amazing! The hotel is right on the busiest main square in Madrid and is VERY crowded and noisy, We were on the third floor and we heard people in... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
