Right on the Puerta del Sol (the center of Madrid). Plaza Mayor is two blocks away. Train station is 100 yards from the hotel. Excellent accommodations, beautiful rooms, spotlessly clean, super staff - just a fantastic place to stay in Madrid.

This hotel is amazing. The staff are nice, the room is nice, beds are comfy, and the location. Everything about the area is good. There are many restaurants and bakeries nearby. There's even a train station in the Puerta del Sol! Also, for the football/soccer fans, there is a Real Madrid store located just across the hotel. Food at restaurant... More

Perfect location, friendly staff. More quiet than you would think for for very central location. If you are looking for a quiet night of sleep, look elsewhere. If you are looking for prime location, good rates, look here.

The hotel is recently renovated, the rooms and bathrooms are clean. The hotel staff is very nice and are there to help you in any way they can. The rooms have a balcony to the Puerta del Sol and even though it's a noisy plaza the paneled windows suppress most of it. The hotel has a restaurant that faces the... More

We stayed at the Hotel Europa October 24-26, 2014, and we were very satisfied indeed. We enjoyed a nice view of the Puerta del Sol (public square) and proximity to good restaurants. The hotel staff was especially nice and several staffers went out of their way to assist us. We would happily stay at the Hotel Europa again.

Great Location, location! Within walking distance of major downtown tourist area. Friendly & helpful staff. Quite rooms. Very clean & well maintained. Typical European hotel. Nothing modern but nicely appointed. We will return here!

This is a gracious, nicely appointed hotel--an old-fashioned feel but renovated and well maintained. It's in a very busy part of the city with balconies overlooking the streets, but with the windows closed, our room was as quiet as if we'd been in the country. I'd be very happy to return.

We stayed in this hotel for four nights to wait for New Year's. The location couldn't be better. Nice rooms with a balcony overlooking Puerta del Sol, especially on New Year's Eve when 22,000 Madrileños await midnight. The noise level can be very high, and the double panel windows keep most of the noise out, but not all. We had... More

Heard from a friend that this was a great location - like Times Square of Madrid - so I booked online, short notice, and was not disappointed. Needed a room for me and my two daughters, and it was spacious and clean. Had 3 twin beds, as expected, and a large, well appointed bathroom.

We chose this hotel for a short stay in Madrid for our family of 4, staying in the family room. The hotel is comfortable, clean, and well outfitted. The taxi dropped us off at the corner of Puerta del Sol , which is a very vibrant square and we had a short walk to the hotel. The people of Madrid... More
