The hotel itself is more than adequate. Rooms are clean and a good size. Bathrooms are spacious and modern. Staff is friendly and helpful. However, the Puerta del Sol is busy and loud 24 hours a day. We found it difficult to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing. There is a constant rumble of noise throughout the... More

My family of four travelled to Spain mid-July 2014 for 10 days. We choose the Hotel Europa for our stay in Madrid based on several reference resources. We were in the hotel for six nights. We had one of the family rooms, which is a two room suite with a common locking door to the hallway and an internal locking... More

The location is FANTASTIC! If you want the "Madrid" experience stay there. Its seconds from the Plaza de major. The staff are excellent. The rooms are good size and you balcony opens onto the street!! what a view. Its quite enough to sleep well. Your within walking distance to everything. Clean great air-conditioning. Excellent location. Friendly and business like staff, always ready to help and assist. Rooms should have small fridge for convenience of guest. Room relatively small but comfortable with all required necessities.

Liked the location for walking to sites. Room was clean, appreciated high windows with real flowers on Juliet balcony. We had the breakfast included with our room rate and it was filling but the choice was how do you want your eggs and tea or coffee - quite boring after 3 days. We noticed the staff even washed the street... More

After arriving in Madrid and finding our accomodation was not suitable we walked over to Hotel Europa and found the staff to be excellent and after hearing our story the Hotel looked after us. This Hotel is right on the square and has many restaurants around. Made our stay in Madrid very easy as not many people speak English and... More

It was a perfect place to start each day (and night). Access to the Metro is easy and the area has everything you could want within walking distance. Hotel was very clean and the view of the plaza was incredible. The windows shut tightly to block out the noise of the street and was much more comfortable than expected.

This hotel is located on Plaza Del Sol. If you open your balcony window, you get an awesome view of the square and all the fun activities taking place. The party continues till early in the morning, so you may want to ask for a quieter room if the noise is going to bother you. The rooms are clean and... More

The only wonderful thing about this hotel is its location. The hotel is old, the room I stayed in was smelly. The hotel does not serve breakfast. You are given a ticket in the morning to have breakfast at the cafe nearby (I heard that the owner is the same) and for 8-10 € they serve you coffee, bread, butter,... More

We couldn't have asked for better accommodations. The location was centralized which made walking to all the sites of Madrid very easy. This was especially important for us as we were travelling with our elderly parents who couldn't walk very far. The rooms were very clean and spacious with very comfortable beds. We were fortunate enough to have balconies overlooking... More
