This place is very updated and cleaned daily. Your rooms are also cleaned daily. The water temperature in the showers were a little finicky, but everything worked just fine. The beds were comfortable and they had a TV. The safe and the AC were daily extras though not included in the room. We opened a window and for the most... More

My room was tiny, it hardly had enough space to put our luggage in; say, we were four people in a room for two. Other than that, the place was clean, the staff was very friendly the area is very safe, there's lots of restaurants an places to eat at a walking distance and it's located in the Historical Center... We had a great stay in may of 2013. We only stayed one night but were pleased with what we got for the price. If you are looking for luxury this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a clean hotel to be able to sleep in shower and stay at a great location this is... More

The rooms are very clean and simple, with bathroom ensuite, the beds are quite comfortable. The location is just perfect, right in the heart of Madrid and at the same time it's not too noisy. When we arrived we had to change rooms because someone had been smoking in the room and the smell was awful. They changed us to... More

3 friends and I stayed here for the first time and we truly recommend this place! For people with a budget to watch, this is definitely a great choice as the location is so wonderful that it's just a couple of footsteps to Plaza Mayor and San Miguel market. The room wasn't exactly spacious, the toilet was pretty small, the... More

This was our second stay at Hostal Tijcal and we found it just as pleasant as our first. It is located on the 3rd floor, the stairs are dark and a bit slippery but there is a lift if you don't want to walk. The reception is open 24 hours so there is always someone to help you and all... More

Situated less than a minute from Plaza Mayor, this budget hostal (small hotel) is basic, a bit scuffed round the edges, but a great place to lay your head down after a day touristing. We booked a double room on booking.com and found ourselves in a room (319) for four overlooking the street. We slept well and paid extra for... More
