I have been traveling in Europe for 3months and this would be the worts hotel. You get charge for everything even if you need to check the weight of luggage, print boarding pass. Pros- clean rooms, one of the best positions in Madrid.

The hotel can be best described as "lived in" and the lack of lobby bar (or any bar) might actually have been a blessing. The rooms, and the beds are tired, but the bathroom is perfectly functional. If I was taking my partner I wouldn't use this hotel, but for friends who plan on only sleeping in the room it... More

I booked Hotel Rex for a weekend stay after seeing the photos (on the hotels own website) of the superior room with the terrace and was equally encouraged by generally good reviews. I thought that the hotel, with it's terrace overlooking Gran Via would be the perfect place to celebrate my husband's birthday. In addition to the superior room with... More

The only advantage is location. Room worn out. There is no parking in front of the hotel, if you are using a car, you will have to park around 400mts away and carry your luggage all the way long. I w'ont stay there a second time.

The hotel staff where great and we didn't have to wait long despite there being a good lot of us to check in. The location was brilliant you didn't have to walk a long way to get anywhere! The rooms where stylish and well thought out, it was three to a room and there was plenty of room to breath!... More

We have stayed at this hotel before. You get what you pay for. We were there for 5 nights, without a problem. The girls on the desk were very helpful and gave us clear directions. Yes there is some traffic noise if your room is at the front. I would use this hotel again.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and thought it a decent hotel, in a really good location near a subway stop. It is situated on a busy street in the centre of Madrid, but there was no issues with noise at night. The room was small, but was fine and the breakfast each morning was pretty much what... More

The hotel is located on a very busy street in the heart of Madrid. It means that the traffic starts from early hours of mornings until very late at night. You wake up at 5 Am with car horns and traffic noise. The staff specially two men at the front desk are very rude and unhelpful. The room that we... More

This hotel is well located - but that's where the good things end. The reception is bizarre - located below ground. Having to always climb down those steps before getting into the tiny and terrible lifts was bad. The single room was noisy, smelly and dirty. The bed was horrible. At least there was BBC and CNN on the TV... More
