I spent 1 night at the hotel on the Friday 5th Dec. I booked a hotel close to the airport with free shuttle. Silken Puerta was a very good choice. Hotel is nice, clean, rooms are very well equipped. BUT - the check was the worst checkin I have avert passed. Receptionist Laura was very unpleasant, busy with some paperwork,... More

2 nights on this hotel … it’s not quite well located in Madrid (not in the city center area) but it was chosen due to the good relation between rate and quality. Hotel is well communicated with the city center (bus and metro) and very close to headway A2 and M30. About the hotel itself … it was comfortable and... More

The hotel rooms are good, the provide toothbrush and shaving kit. However, there is no free wifi as advertised, there is free web at dial-up modem speeds, it takes minutes to load pages. Other than web you can't use any service like listening to online radio because all ports are blocked. If you want to have free wifi you have... More

Staff OK. Rooms are nice, beds comfortable but not always clean. During the first stay we had a room on the 4th floor and the first positive impression seemed clean but in the bathroom it wasn't so colorful - the toilet seat was not disinfected at all, and everywhere was full of someone's hair! After two weeks we stayed in... More

This is a good hotel with clean, modern and reasonably comfortable rooms. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast spread was sufficient but not fantastic. One thing that definitely was a let down was its free wifi. Even by most wifi standards in Spain, the wifi here was a snails pace. Getting around was not easy but staff was helpful... More

This is by far the worst hotel I have been to in my life. The service was terrible, the staff would not help me and find a way to print my train ticket although I was in a rush and needed to leave. Kept saying the office center was opening at 9am although it was past that. I had to... More

I stayed at silken because I was at a congress at Melia America (in which I stayed last time and don't advise). The room was spacious, with a desk, the wi-fi connection was good, you can pay a resonable price to a faster connetion if you like, the mini-bar had a good selection of goodies and drinks, I was very... Location can be convenient if you want to be close to the airport or to the exhibition center, otherwise you'll need public transport to get to the city center and there barely anything around. The restaurant is quite limited, especially taking into account that you may not have any alternative nearby. Rooms and breakfast are OK. Taking into account the... More

Good rooms at reasonable prices. Breakfast on weekends is lower quality than midweek, although at same price. Only one restaurant with limited service on weekends. In short. Room for improvement for food services. Rooms are good and staff is generally friendly and hep full.

Clean and friendly service. Restaurant is mediocre. No apparent room service. Paid "fast" wifi is not fast and disconnects regularly. Located 20 minutes by taxi from Madrid center and 5 kilometers from IFEMA conference center. 2 moderate restaurants within walking distance. Everything else requires taxi or public transportation. Best I can say is adequate.
