My husband and I stayed for three days in October. The unit was very clean and we enjoyed the balcony. It was an easy walk to the bus. The staff was helpful . There are a number of restaurants within an easy walk. We especially enjoyed the tasting menu at Cinco Jotas. The bed was comfortable, a new duvet would... More

Stayed in the hotel for 4 days. The rooms are incredibly large - most of them are truely apartment, with bedroom, livingroom, kitchen. Bathroom of adequate size, with bathtubs. I wasn't bothered by any noisy neighbors, so nothing to complain on this side. The only downside is the breakfast - very few choices, the plates are not filled up after... More

Stayed here our first night in Madrid. I gave it a high rating for location. The building is really attractive too. The woman who worked the front desk consistently gave us incorrect information when we asked directions or recommendations for places to eat. At one point we thought maybe she did not live in the area, her info was so... More

I'll give this hotel four stars since it had a great location, hepful and friendly staff and a comfortable bed. Another plus was the balcony with a nice view of the Lazaro garden. It definitely needs a better breakfast service and updated rooms. You can great restaurants close by on Serrano and General Oraa.

Good suite but if you are unlucky with a noise neighbor it will ruin your night. I had to call reception at 2:30 to complaint about it, also the early noises of the street doesn't help much. The rooms really should be more sound-proof efficient for this kind of hotels.

It is a very nice clean hotel well situated in center city. A beautiful 30- minute walk separates you from Museum La Prado. The neighborhood is calm and full of cafés and small restaurants. The internet in the rooms is very slow and discontents all the time. There is no kettle for hot water in the room, whenever you want... More

We stay here each year when I teach in Madrid. Some rooms have outdoor balconies and the Hotel is excellent. They serve breakfast each day and there are very good restaurants right next door. It is very clean with very nice people who work there and we look forward to being there each year. I don't think anyone will be... More

The lady at the reception is extremely nice and smiley. They are fast, helpful and resolute. My room was ready ahead of time. The rooms are comfortable, cozy, clean and well decorated. A great ration quality/price. I highly recommend it for the Salamanca area.

Good hotel to stay in Serrano/Salamanca neighbourhood . Great if you have to deal with American Embassy and surroundings ( IE, museums, business, studies...). Rooms are quiet and very clean with enough space. Bathroom is ok but some renewals should be done. Anyway it is more than ok as a quality-price relation and most important, staff is really helpful, nice... More

A couple of months ago I stayed here and made an excellent review, but this time something was different. Now with a little baby, we had the crib installed and it was completely worn down and dirty. The room was also pretty worn, and not a very big room this time. And noise from the people above. And for a... More

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
