I arrived very late at the hotel but they were very efficent with checking me in. I had a room on the first floor. There was no windows and the smallest room ever. The staff were so friendly and helpful giving directions. The location is great to walk around to the various sites.

Excellently situated, in the thriving heart of Madrid, yet quiet and peaceful enough for a good night's rest. Lovely concept, surprising design applied in the rooms. All needed amenities and services on hand. I can absolutely recommend this place!

We stayed in 301 which is a balcony room. I liked our room, it had a view, was clean and the bed was large. I found it large enough for our needs (as we were out all day and most nights) as it had a desk, bar fridge and hanging clothes rack. The room had no bathroom as such, the... More

The hotel is located on the floors above a restaurant. I had a room on the second floor with a window looking out over the street. The room was clean and tidy. There a rack for hanging clothes and our small luggage fit neatly under the bed during the day. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Several of the... More

Unique and well located hotel I enjoyed from the 301 room (balcony with main street view). Nice detail to let my girlfriend and I to check in before 2pm. Too expensive for me (almost 150€ per night) is my only black point.

From the greeting on arrival that helped us distinguish and find the reception, the check-in and our overall stay, the staff make everything better. They were beyond friendly and helpful; indulging my attempts at beginners Spanish and helping us out speaking English when needed. They went out of their way with everyone in a way I've rarely experienced on all... More

We had a great stay at the hotel. Had some wifi issues that will absolutely come back up for other hotel guests but the restaurant and the staff were awesome making this a 5 star review. It's very centrally located and is a short walk to many other great restaurants and sights.

We wanted to be in the centre of things and this fitted the bill completely. It is a very busy street at night, which is what we wanted, not so good if you are looking for peace and quiet. Our room, and my sons room were lovely full of character and the comfiest bed I have slept in for a... More

the staff are lovely here. Super friendly and helpful. They recommended restaurants, places to visit and an amazing flamenco show, which they booked for us. The rooms all overlook a central courtyard, and don't have any outside windows, which was a bit of a s surprise, and there needs to be more storage in the rooms. However, if you are... More

Staying in La Latina

Neighborhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighborhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighborhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
