We had trepidations about this hotel because of some of the reviews on this site, but we got a very good offer through Airmiles and decided to take a chance - glad we did! The room (419) was spacious with a well fitted bathroom. Air conditioning was very effective if a little noisy (I've never used a hotel where that... more

Spent 5 nights here. Hotel is located in quiet section of Madrid, a block from the Sorolla Museum (a must). Hotel is not within walking distance to many of the major attractions. It is adjacent to a Metro station, 3 stations from most tourist sites .If you like to return to your hotel frequently during the day, this will be... more

Arrived 6pm Sunday to find gym, pool and sauna closed at 6pm. Nothing about the limited hours on the website, but 6 o'clock! Room with a view of a brick wall. Complained about both and got 'shrugged shoulders' from 2 English speaking members of staff. No offer of a different room, no gym/pool arrangement with other hotels. First and last... more

I stayed at this hotel in January while attending a trade show. The Metro connects the airport, to the exhibition centre, and to the city centre. The Metro station, Gregorio Maranon, is right outside the hotel, making it very convenient for me to use the hotel as a base for the business trip. I stayed at the Business Floor which... more

We had a long weekend in Madrid over the Carnival 2009. The hotel is really easy to find being ust outside Gregria Marron (spelt wrong!) Metro but is in the business district which for business is great but no good for tourists like we were. From the out the reception look great but it is not until you go through... more

The hotel staff really makes difference. Front desk staff is very efficient and corteous as well as the consierge, House keeping is respecfull with personal belongings. Room service (a little bit pricey) but food was delivered promtly and simply right! but the thing that really made the difference to me was the attitude of the sincere staff, from bell boys... more

I stayed in Miguel Angel for 4 nights in the beginning of October 2008. At that time I booked the room through the hotel own reservation system. I had an overall 5+ star experience especially as far as the room cleanliness and beauty. On November 10, I needed to spend one night in Madrid on route home, because of the... more

Me and my partner have stayed at this hotel twice. The only thing i can agree with in the bad reviews about this hotel is the dated decor, but surely the colour of the wallpaper isnt what you went there for. The service is always good. The staff are polite and will help you however they can. The food in... more

Dear friends, I am a journalist and I have just spent 10 days in Madrid, invited by the Spanish Embassy of Buenos Aires to cover the Cibeles Fashion Week. During all this period, I was lodged in the Miguel Angel Hotel and everything was great until the last day of my stay. I even wanted to write a good comment... more

I'm a business traveler and stayed at Miguel Angel Hotel to be closer to attractions. That perhaps, is the best thing about the hotel, the location. It's convenient to the metro and within walking distance (long walk) to central attractions. However, my room was seedy; stained/worn carpeting and furniture...rather depressing. The hotel restaraunt was pricey and the fare nothing special.... more
